Adjest POV
My heart dropped.
Vas was killed.
Right in front of me.
I couldn't move.
I was too afraid.
Despite the constant thumping of the Lizard men rushing back in at us, all I could hear clearly was the cries of Mari.
"That's it."
A lone tear went down my face as I dropped my sword. My knees buckled as I fell to the ground and began to cry.
"This is where we're going to die."
"I haven't felt this way in awhile."
I could hear a voice.
A very distinct one.
One I could never forget.
I turned my head and looked, seeing the scarred and battered warrior that was Muji. The majority of us had already given up and accepted we would die.
But it looked like Muji hadn't.
"Muji...it's no poi-
"Shut up."
I was afraid before.
But now I was terrified.
Muji looked me in the eye and I felt as if I was being absorbed by an abyss. I couldn't breathe, this overwhelming feeling of agony came over me.
A dark aura surrounded him as his hair began to flow up, his eyes glowing a dark color of purple that resembled a feeling of despair.
"Hear me when I speak."
Muji burst out into an incredible wave of aura, the pure amount was enough to make the ground shake.
"T-This has happened before...back at the pre exam...!!"
I began to remember that insane power up that overtook him when he easily killed the ogre. However...
"He was nowhere near this strong!! Did it increase because he's gotten stronger?!"
"From this moment forth, the only person allowed to kill anyone...is me."
Large purplish blades began to emerge from the ground. They seemed to have been made of poison, but I couldn't tell exactly. I heard another person standing up as I looked and seen Mari.
Tears poured down her face, a mix of sorrow and fury.
"Muji!!"
Muji turned his head and looked to Mari, his eyes as cold a corpse.
"Kill them!!! Kill all of them!!!! I don't care what happens anymore!!!"
At this request, Muji smiled villainously.
He looked live the Devil.
The poison blades began to tear through the Lizard men, hundreds at a time it seemed. Muji was going on a killing spree whilst laughing uncontrollably, the more he killed the more his blood lust grew.
"Lady Adjest, let's go."
I felt Iris pull my arm, she looked horrible, and horribly afraid.
"B-But Muji-
"Muji? That thing is not Muji."
I looked to Muji, or what used to be him, watching him rampage.
"Muji or not he's somewhere in there-
