Muji POV

"Why does everything look so...festive...?"

The boys and I were sitting together at a table whilst eating. We had rested up at this inn and we're having breakfast.

I couldn't help but notice it looked like some sort of celebration was going on.

"I don't know, let's ask someone or something." Jax replied to my question. I hummed and looked around, not many people seemed like they would know.

"These guys seem useless."

Lapis looked to the door, causing me to look as well. Some men in armor, seemingly hunters, walked into the inn. They seemed relatively weak but more then that friendly.

"Those guys seem like they know. I'll go ask them."

"You don't mind if I have the rest of your food do you?"

I let out a brief sigh.

"Go ahead."

I stood up and walked over to the group of hunters, tapping one of them on the shoulder. The man turned and around and looked at me, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah?"

"Sorry to bother you, I just wanted to know if you guys knew anything about a festival or something."

The man hummed.

"Oh you must be new to the capital. Every year around this time people start placing bets on the Trainee tournament. They usually have posters with information of promising trainees on the giant billboard in the center of the capital."

I felt a bit surprised.

"Really now?"

"Yep. However this year is especially important because of the Talented Ten."

"They're called the Gifted Generation idiot."

"Really?"

As the two began to bicker I thanked them and headed back to my table, sitting down with my friends. Jax was still scarfing down food while Lapis was dozing off a bit.

"Guys, we have a bit of time until the supplies get here, so there's something I want to go check out."

Lapis sat up, stretching a bit.

"I'm down."

Jax finished his food as he put the plate down, food all over his face.

"Let's go then!"

"Go clean yourself up first."

"Roger."

"So you're saying you're interested in this 'gifted generation'?"

I nodded.

"This tournament is going to be huge for us, especially since we plan to be hunters. I want to get a look of this so called 'Gifted Generation'."

Lapis yawned.

"They probably won't be stronger than me."

Jax laughed a bit.

"I mean, you're a monster so it makes sense."

"You're one to talk Jax. Ms Shinmon told me you were in the Gifted Generation."

Jax gasped.

"M-Me?"

Lapis yawned once again.
