Mya POV
"I miss Muji."
It had been four days since we entered the Blood Moon forest. My party leader was Ms Shinmon, and on our team was two knights, an assassin, a mage, a guardian, and myself, a support.
We didn't have a healer, so we couldn't afford to get hurt a lot, but our party was stacked so I didn't have to do much.
I literally had the teacher and second strongest trainee on my team. Even though this was going well, I still missed my good pal Muji.
"Muji, oh Muji, wherever art thou Muji?"
"Miss your boyfriend?"
Jax was always a pain.
"He's not my boyfriend."
"But you knew who I was talking about."
I sighed.
"What do you want Jax?"
We were currently on break, and Ms Shinmon was doing some weird exercise so everyone was leaving her alone. Sky and I weren't really close, neither was Zeke or Vas, so naturally I was sitting alone until my peace was destroyed by this guy.
"Let's spar Mya. No aura or mana."
I frowned.
"That's still unfair, look at the massive axe versus my precious little spear. We shouldn't be sparring anyway, we have to conserve our energy."
Jax groaned.
"Fine! Hand to hand then."
I hummed.
"I can deal with that."
I stood up and stretched a bit.
"You know, Muji and I trained together. Our record is 32 to 150, his favor of course. At first I thought it was because I couldn't really fight, but it's just that Muji's senses are crazy."
I smirked as I got into a battle position.
"I want to see how I do against someone normal."
Jax looked a bit irritated.
"Normal you say? Alright then, I'll take you up on that!"
Jax threw a punch as I threw out an open palm and stopped it before moving in and elbowing his stomach. Jax went for a punch but I quickly spun to his other side and went for a punch, but Jax dodged back.
"Not bad, you're better than I thought."
I smirked proudly.
"Oh please you ain't seen nothing."
I rushed in and went for a straight kick, Jax tilting his head to dodge it. I quickly brought my foot down in a curve and kicked his face, causing him to stumble a bit.
Jax laughed and wiped the blood off his lip.
"I was going a bit easy because you're a girl but, I guess Muji doesn't keep you around for nothin."
Jax rushed back in and threw a punch.
I quickly dodged it, but he threw a punch with his other arm, causing me to block it. I then ducked a hook as I dropped to the ground and swept my leg across the ground.
He jumped and went for an overhead kick as I rolled out of the way and spun on my hands to kick his side. Jax smirked and grabbed the leg I kicked him with before going to kick me.
I blocked it with my arms but still went back a bit. I stood up and blocked another attack before going with a counter, slamming Jax on the ground.
I held my hand at his neck like a blade, smiling a bit.
"Looks like I win Jax."
Jax laughed.
"Damn you're good. If Muji kicked your ass all those times I really wanna fight him."
"You should ask when we get back to Boken."
A clap got everyone's attention, the source of it being our party leader.
"That should be enough break time, we have to keep moving."
"Yes mam."
I grabbed my spear and put back on my armor plate before waiting for everyone else. Ms Shinmon walked over to me and flicked my forehead.
"I seen your moves when fighting Jax earlier, you're not bad girl."
I laughed a bit.
"Thanks..."
"If you ever awaken aura you'll be a real threat."
I nodded looking down at the floor, a bit shy.
"If only I had aura...I'd be able to fight alongside Muji."
I sighed.
"Sadly I don't."
Jax raised an eyebrow.
"Sadly you don't what?"
"Shut up."
"What did I do..."
"Let's head out!"
Everyone began to walk on Ms Shinmon's instructions, heading into the forest. As we continued to walk, Ms Shinmon held her arm up, all of us coming to a stop.
"What is it Ms Shinmon?"
"There's...a lot of enemies ahead of us."
Ms Shinmon looked a little hesitant.
"I can't tell exactly how many it is but...with no healer I don't think we should fight this many."
I tapped Ms Shinmon on the shoulder.
"Shouldn't that be more reason for us to go? We won't always have a healer there to heal if we make mistakes once we become actual hunters. This is real experience we need, so we need to be as careful as possible, but we also can't afford to not go just because we don't have a healer."
Ms Shinmon looked at me before she burst out laughing.
"You know, you're right Mya. Very smart of you. Plus I can just save everyone if things go south."
Jax smirked.
"Sounds like something Muji'd say."
"Shut up."
Ms Shinmon cleared her throat.
"All units, our enemy is a large number of wolves. Let's go with formation D4."
As we all rushed in, ready to attack the enemies. However when the group of wolves were suddenly ambushed from behind them, Ms Shinmon held her arm up, causing us to stop once again.
"Let's wait a bit, we don't know who they are."
After all the wolves were taken care of, we watched the group come closer towards us.
"Is everyone ok? Iris, how are Mateo and Mari holding up? Shanna, wake up that idiot."
A large smile formed on my face as I rushed away from my group. He turned towards me with open arms.
I crashed into him, laughing.
"Hey Muji."
"Good to see you too Mya."
