Muji POV
"Mya to your left!"
Mya turned to her left and threw her spear, hitting the guy who was trying to get away. I dashed over and took his medal before breaking it, sending him to the spectator seats.
"Man, that makes what, 70 points?"
Mya smiled happily as she skipped over to me.
"We're so awesome. We're good now right? We don't have to fight anymore?"
I nodded.
"But that's boring. Let's go find some people to fight."
I looked around for Lapis, seeing him asleep against the wall. I sighed and walked over before kicking him in the stomach, waking him up.
"You didn't have to kick me."
"Attention."
I looked down at my medal after hearing Ms Demeter's voice. She was making an announcement about something.
"Attention all remaining contestants. There are 45 minutes until the end of the event, there are currently 25 teams remaining. If I were you guys I'd try to get as many points as possible! You don't know how many points the other teams may have."
I looked to Mya, who just sighed and nodded sadly.
"It's settled then, let's go looking."
"This canyon is massive though. Oh will we find anyone? And then what are the chances they aren't someone stupidly strong!"
I shrugged.
"I don't see the big deal Mya. We aren't going to impress anyone if we just keep fighting weaklings, plus it's not like we'll die if we aren't careful. So why not be reckless. Right Lapis?"
"Yeah, what he said."
I looked to Mya with a smile as she sighed once again before linking our arms.
"Fine then, lead the way oh great leader."
Karin POV
Mr Nate, Ms Moira, and I were all watching Muji and Mya with the glasses tool that we were given, and I hadn't been this excited in awhile.
"What do you think Karin? Aren't you glad you tagged along?"
I nodded rapidly.
"Muji is so cool! He's a lot stronger than when he left too, I can tell."
Mr Nate coughed grumpily.
"That brat dared to surpass me at such a young age? He needs someone to knock sense into him."
"Mya surpassed you too Mr Nate."
"As expected of Granddaughter."
I giggled before taking my glasses and looking at Ms Moira, she was quiet for awhile.
"You alright Ms Moira?"
"Yes. I'm just a bit worried dear, don't mind me."
I wondered what she was worried about, but didn't pay much more time to it. I looked at the scoreboard.
"I don't know who number 628 is...but 409 points is insane. They must be really strong."
I put my glasses back on, watching Muji.
"Either way I'm cheering for you Muji!"
Mya POV
"It's been ten minutes and we still haven't found anyone! Muji what if we lose?"
"We probably won't but if we do that's pretty bad. Karin is watching too...that'd be embarrassing."
Lapis raised an eyebrow.
"Who's Karin?"
I facepalmed.
"Oh boy...here we go."
"My little sister. She's the most kind and amazing girl in the world, I don't know how she turned out that way. One time-
The three of us all heard the ground began to rumble as we looked around. I was thankful Muji didn't begin a sibling rant but I was also kind of scared.
"What's going on?? Muji do you sense anyone?"
"Look."
Muji pointed forward as I looked and seen an army of what looked like wooden dolls headed towards us. I screamed a bit before getting into my battle stance.
"These things probably won't die after being hit a few times right?"
Muji hummed before laughing a bit.
"I didn't think I'd get to use my poison at all, but I guess I can. Lapis, you and Mya run behind them and find the guy operating these things. Their team is probably with them but I doubt they can control an army of this size while also being mobile."
Muji finally pulled out his daggers as he coated in some poison, probably the really lethal kind.
"I'll take care of these things and catch up in a second."
Lapis nodded and picked me up before jumping off.
"Be careful Muji!"
"Yeah I know!"
I looked forward as we landed, Lapis putting me down. We dashed to the back of the canyon when Lapis suddenly pushed me out the way and blocked an incoming attack from this swordsman guy.
After blocking the strike Lapis grabbed him by the neck and slammed him into the ground, but the swordsman guy just vanished into thin air.
"Quite aggressive aren't you?"
We looked up and seen him standing on a higher platform within the canyon. Lapis pointed his scythe at him and yawned.
"Are you going to come down here and fight. I'm getting tired."
He just began to laugh.
"Two on 1 is unfair, so why don't we even the odds?"
Another person landed next to him, equipped with two very cool looking blades. He jumped down at us and went to attack me, but I just swung my weapon and clashed with him.
I noticed he didn't have a medal on him, and neither did the other guy.
"Lapis these guys don't have medals! They're probably having their third teammate hide since they have the last medal!"
Lapis nodded and took off, the smoke guy following after him. I pushed my opponent back and got into my battle stance.
"Let's have at it."
"Very well then."
