Muji POV

"Good job kid! You're actually making this hard for me!"

I was currently sparring against Mr Craig one last time. He had trained me well for a little over three years, and now this was the result.

My current aura level was that of the average adult, 5. At my age I could be considered a gifted or something, but I just knew that there was plenty of people like me.

And people stronger.

I was using my aura to battle against Mr Craig, it was running through my body and imbued in my daggers. I decided to use my speed to my advantage as I rushed in and began to attack in a flurry.

Mr Craig could barely keep up as he just barely managed to block most of my attacks, however my assault wasn't finished as I kicked his stomach.

My Craig clicked his tongue and went to swing his sword, but I dodged it and ran behind him before kicking the back of his leg and holding my dagger against his neck.

"I-I win Mr Craig."

Mr Craig laughed a bit.

"Well I'll be damned...I never thought I'd see the day when I lose to some kid."

I heard a clap coming from behind me, it was Mya. She thought she "snuck" in, but I could sense her before she even got into the room.

The abilities I had honed back when I was a pickpocket had only increased with time passing. I knew this would become a great weapon for me in the future.

"Mya, I'm glad you were here to see your uncle get beaten."

Mya rolled her eyes.

"Don't act tough hot stuff. Let's go, we need to hurry up and pack."

I hummed.

"We're leaving next week right? I can't believe it's been that long already."

Mya snorted a bit.

"Stop reminiscing and go pack grandpa."

"Who're you call grandpa old lady? You're older than me remember."

Mya went to say something back but couldn't, causing me to smirk.

"Exactly."

"Shut up. Anyways come with me, your hair is way~ too long."

I had never cut my hair before, even after taking Daiki, Karin, and the twins to get there hair cut multiple times in the past. My hair was reaching all the way down to my waist.

"Is it really that bad?"

"Yes. How will you even fight with all that hair?"

I hummed.

"You're right."

Timeskip

"There, all done."

I looked in the mirror, all my hair was gone. My head felt a million times lighter.

"I never knew having hair was so heavy."

"You actually look good now Muji!"

I dismissed Mya's statement.

"Shut up."

"Those are my words."

90% of my hair was cut off, and I now had an undercut. It looked good and all but...I'm worried what Karin will say about it.

The twins will say I look cool regardless, and Daiki doesn't care about my hair a lot.

"Muji, what did you do...."

"Crap."

I turned around and seen Karin standing there, she looked heartbroken.

"K-Karin...I'm sorry."

"Who will I use for styling now Muji? How could you...I loved brushing your hair so much..."

I swallowed a nervous gulp.

"I-I'll grow it back out! It'll only take Uh-

"Muji, your hair had been grown out for 16 years. You can't just "grow it back" in a short span of time."

Mya laughed, watching me struggle with my little sister.

"Karin...I'll buy you a dress."

"All is forgiven. It's a shame but looks like there's nothing I can do about it, it's for your hunter future after all."

Timeskip

"Looks like I'm off..."

I currently stood in front of my siblings, about to leave once again. This time, even I was crying.

It was going to be a whole year.

"Karin...don't stop sewing ok? I-I want to see how much you've improved when I get back. M-Make sure they don't mess up stuff while I'm gone ok?"

I sniffled and wiped some tears as Karin kept rubbing her eyes, trying to stop the water works.

"O-Ok Muji! I-I promise everything will be just fine when you get back! Remember our promise ok?! You pinky promised that you wouldn't die!! So comeback!!"

I nodded and hugged her tightly before turning to Daiki. He stood there, trying so hard not to cry.

"Daiki, my first little brother. You'll have to e-enforce what Karin says while I'm gone ok? M-Make sure to help her out when she needs you to ok? Keep on working hard!"

Daiki began to cry as he hugged me tightly.

"M-Muji!! I-I promise to do my best ok?! S-So come back like you always have!! We'll be waiting!!"

I nodded and separated from Daiki before turning to my two lovely twins. I opened my arms as the two came running.

"Muji!! Don't go!!"

"Please Muji!! We'll be good ok?!"

I smiled and kissed both of their heads.

"You two didn't do anything wrong ok?! I love all of you so don't think I'm leaving because I don't. I know you're good kids, so keep being good kids while I'm gone. Ok?"

"We promise Muji!!"

Karin POV

As Muji boarded the carriage and left the estate with Mya, we all watched in tears.

For the first time, we would be separated from Muji for a long period of time. We had been dependent on him our entire lives, and now it was time for us to leave the nest and fend for ourselves for awhile.

Muji was the only family we had ever known.

Muji didn't abandon us.

Muji didn't hate us.

In fact, Muji did the opposite.

He named us.

He fed us.

He clothed us.

He taught us.

He fought for us.

He protected us.

He LOVED us.

And for that, we will forever love Muji.

Even if the day were to come where Muji ends up not returning, we could never bring ourselves to despise him.

Muji was the one light in our small household that was enveloped in darkness.

We've never had a father.

We've never had a mother.

But...

We have the best big brother in existence.

Muji Akuma.
