Muji POV

"Welcome back kiddos! I knew you could do it!"

Lapis, Jax, and myself, all stood in front of Boken, carrying one giant crate each. We had got the supplies and left the capital asap before heading back to Boken.

To which we successfully accomplished, although it took more time due to us carrying cargo.

"Thanks Ms Shinmon."

I placed my crate down as the others did the same.

"I'm going to go bug Adjest!"

Jax dashed off as I let out a sigh.

"It's 1 in the morning..."

Lapis yawned before collapsing on the floor. Ms Shinmon and I looked at him before turning around and heading back into Boken.

"So, anything interesting happen?"

I nodded.

"I learned a bit about the Gifted Generation."

Ms Shinmon gasped a bit.

"Really now? Do you think you can win?"

I laughed a bit.

"Honestly...the only one I don't think I'd lose to is Xander. Im sure most of the others, beside Jax and Adjest, could kill me without trying at all."

Ms Shinmon smiled a bit.

"So you know."

"Of course. Especially Isabel Louth. She even had two classes..."

"I heard that she was supposed to be a twin, but only one baby was born. The King praised her saying it was a miracle after she awakened at age 7."

I hummed a bit.

"At age 7 I was going around trying to get by on scraps. She's incredible. Not just her, but everyone in the Gifted Generation."

Ms Shinmon ruffled my hair.

"Well then, as your instructor it's my job to train you guys the best you can. We have a little over 3 months until the tournament, plus there's a few hunts in better then. You ready? I'm about to make this hell."

"I welcome all the pain I need too."

Timeskip

"Come on, more!"

Everyone was currently at a water fall trying to use our mana to cause a giant wave to form.

"You all use your mana affinities like it's nothing but when it comes to pure mana you're lacking! Gain better control and output of the mana around you and your overall mana will increase!"

I grunted a bit, my head was throbbing. The area we were in had tons of accessible mana floating in the air, but trying to access it was another story.

"Muji look, I'm doing it."

I turned to Mya, who had begun to make a small ripple in the water.

Even though my mana was always stronger, she always understood mana better than I, so I wasn't very surprised.

"Good job Mya."

"We're going to keep going for another three hours! Everyone be ready!"

"A hunter must have good senses and awareness of their surroundings! Even without their eyes! Today you're going to try and fight blindfolded whilst dodging random attacks from yours truly. Don't speak at all, just fight."

I could tell who was in front of me by their presence, but they were just standing there.

"What's your move Adjest?"

I felt her rush in as I went to block, but Ms Shinmon threw something my direction, causing me to jump away. Adjest heard my movement and went to attack me but I just swung first, punching her into the ground.

After our spar everyone else went up, and Ms Shinmon was making this harder than it had to be.

"I guess that's what happens when you're training."

Timeskip

"A hunter must be able to make the right decisions in a life or death battle. Who can tell me what the best option is if your team dies and you're alone?"

Mateo raised his hand.

"Retreat and wait for reinforcements."

Ms Shinmon nodded.

"What if reinforcements aren't coming?"

Zeke raised his hand.

"Go challenge all of the enemies alone!"

"Go run laps idiot."

Zeke disappointedly got up and began to run away. Iris raised her hand and Ms Shinmon pointed on her.

"You retreat?"

"Yes mam. Your life is your first priority as a hunter. If you can't accomplish the mission, retreat is your only option. "

Timeskip

"Alright! Aura training is finished for today. Everyone go study up on the next hunt."

I stood up, my entire body aching. Training these last couple of months had been ridiculous, and Ms Shinmon made sure it was hell.

Everyday it was something else that was extremely straining.

"Muji...help me..."

I looked down at Mya, who laid on the ground. Her growth rate at been amazing, seeing as how her aura was decent now. Decent enough to the point where her body ached when she used it.

"Come on."

I picked Mya up and began to walk to my room, laying her on the bed. I grabbed my book on skeleton's as I sat in my chair, letting out a deep sigh.

"Muji...whatcha reading?"

"Chapter 2. Apparently skeletons can't be killed entirely unless you somehow destroy their body to the point it can't rebuild itself."

Mya shivered.

"Of course we're going to fight some skeletons. Ms Shinmon really should pick less creepy monsters, like what happened to the wolves?"

"Well those wolves almost killed us."

Mya sat up and kicked her feet back and forth off the edge of the bed.

"Speaking of killed...how do you think Mari is doing? It's been quite a while since she left."

"I think she's working hard like we are. The next time we see her she'll probably be stronger."

Mya nodded as she stood up and grabbed my book.

"They're immune to most types of mana Huh...makes sense because they don't have bodies."

I went to grab my book back but Mya gasped with a wide smile.

"Would you look at that Muji? It says they're super weak to light magic!"

"Looks like this should be right up your alley then."

Mya smiled and jumped onto my bed as she continued to read.

"Scoot over."

"H-Huh? M-Muji wait-

I laid on the bed next to Mya as I began to read the book as well.

"There's only one book, so we've got to share."

"Y-Yeah."

I laughed a bit at the blush on Mya's face.

She was kind of adorable.
