Cave of the Vanquished: Part 7

Jax POV

"This thing is actually learning as we battle."

I clashed axes with the skeleton.

"How the hell does something without a brain learn?!"

The skeleton pushed me back and went for a swing, however I used the hilt of my axe to jump out the way. I called my axe whilst I was mid air, going to cut the skeleton in half.

It quickly turned around and swung its axe, clashing with mine. I quickly turned into the darkness and formed behind the beast, punching it into the wall. It threw its axe at me as I jumped to the side.

However the skeleton was now above me with a punch.

"Mother-

I put my arms up to block as I was punched into the ground. The skeleton went for another punch but I rolled to the side and formed dark tentacles on my back, shooting up to the ceiling.

I hung from the ceiling as the skeleton just counting to attack me, jumping and swinging it's weapon.

"Well, it can't hit me now. But I can't just sit up here forever...using darkness consumes lots of mana."

The skeleton tried to throw its axe at me as I quickly jumped to a different spot on the ceiling. He then threw mine, as I dodged it, now both weapons stuck up here.

"Idiot."

I hummed.

"We fight the same, except it's faster and stronger than me. Do I actually have to..."

I sighed before dropping to the ground, my axe coming towards me. The skeleton punched the wall as the other axe fell down, to which it caught.

"If it was that easy he should've been did it."

I shook my head before letting out a sigh. I really did not like using this.

"Hey faker."

Darkness began to cover my axe before it resembled a large great sword. I stood in the same battle stance as Adjest before smiling.

"Copy this."

I dashed in stopping just outside of the range of the skeletons range. It swung its axe at me as I parried it before dragging my sword across its axe, cutting it when I got close enough.

It went to strike me again as I ducked under before blocking its second attack. I pushed it back before stabbing its leg and bringing my sword up, cutting it deep.

"Man this would be a lot more fun if you would bleed or something. I feel like I'm fighting a dead guy."

I blinked twice as I blocked another attack.

"Wait, I am."

I jumped back as the skeleton slammed the axe on the ground at me. It then rushed towards me and punched me while I was mid air, but I managed to regain my ground.

When I went to counter an axe came flying towards me, causing me to block it. The skeleton then appeared on my side and punched me as I flew into the wall.

"He fights like a damn beast!!"

I blinked twice.
