Sunoo's POV
Worry clung to the atmosphere like a heavy shroud. Mrs. Sunja, Karina, Mingyu, Beomgyu, Sana, and Mr. Changyu were all gathered in the living room, their faces etched with concern. The clock's ticking seemed to echo the seconds as they waited for Minho that had yet to return.
"Where could that kid be?" Mrs. Sunja's voice trembled, her eyes fixed on the window.
Karina sighed, running a hand through her hair. "He should have been back by now. It's not like him to be so late."
Beomgyu's was lost in his thoughts. "I hope he's okay."
Sana bit her lip, her anxiety evident. "Do you think something happened to him?"
Just as the worry reached its peak, a knock at the door shattered the silence. Everyone's heads turned toward the entrance, their eyes widening in surprise. Karina was the first to reach the door, her hand on the doorknob.
As the door swung open, a battered figure stumbled in, leaning heavily against the frame. It took a moment for realization to sink in - it was Minho, beaten and bruised, but somehow, against all odds, alive.
"Hey! Minho!" Karina's voice was a mixture of shock and relief.
He managed a weak smile, his voice strained. "Hey, guys. Did y'all miss me?"
The room erupted in relief, concern, and questions. Mrs. Sunja's eyes welled up with tears as she rushed to his side, her hands trembling as they reached out to touch his bruised face. Karina, Mingyu, Beomgyu, Sana, and Mr. Changyu surrounded him, a mixture of emotions in their eyes.
I stepped forward, my concern tangible. "Let's get him to the bedroom. I'll take care of his wounds."
With gentle but firm hands, I guided Minho toward the bedroom, his steps faltering as he leaned on me for support. As we entered the room, he finally sank onto the bed, exhaustion and pain etched on his features.
"Thanks, Sunoo," he mumbled, his voice hoarse.
I offered him a reassuring smile, my worry still present. "Don't mention it. Let me take a look at your injuries."
Minho winced as I examined the bruises and cuts that marred his skin.
After carefully tending to his wounds, I stood up and went outside to update the others. "You should all get some rest. I'll take care of him."
Karina's gaze was torn between concern and gratitude. "Are you sure?"
I nodded, my gaze firm. "Yeah. I'll watch over him."
She hesitated for a moment before nodding reluctantly. "Alright. But call us if anything happens."
"Of course," I assured her.
As Karina left, I turned my attention back to Minho. He was resting, his breathing steady but shallow. Sitting down on the edge of the bed.
I let out a sigh, I couldn't help but feel a mix of frustration and concern as I watched Minho recline on the bed. My eyes were drawn to the bruises that marred his skin, an unspoken question forming on the tip of my tongue.
"Hey," I began tentatively, "where did you get those bruises?"
He glanced at me, his expression guarded. "It's nothing."
I furrowed my brows, my concern deepening. "Minho, you can't just brush this off. You're hurt, and we need to know what happened."
He sighed, his gaze flickering away. "I-It was a gang fight."
