Sunoo's POV

The taxi van pulled up to a secluded mansion, far removed from any prying eyes. Jay, Minho, and San stayed outside, ready to find a way in when given the signal. Heeseung and I walked toward the mansion.

As we entered the mansion, I felt a shiver run down my spine. The inside was dimly lit, filled with the silhouettes of men standing guard. In the center of the room, I saw Niki. He was beaten and tied to a chair, barely conscious. My heart sank at the sight.

A man stood with his back to us, but then he turned around, revealing Subin's smirking face. "Hello, you two," he greeted us, his voice dripping with menace. He signaled to one of his men, who brought a tray of alcohol. I took a glass, my hands trembling, but Heeseung ignored it, his eyes fixed on Niki.

"What do you want me to do to let go of Niki?" Heeseung asked, his voice steady but seething with barely-contained rage.

Subin chuckled, a cold, hollow sound. "Oh, it's not you who has to do anything. It's the person beside you." He turned his gaze to me, and Heeseung followed suit, his concern evident.

"W-What do I have to do?" I asked, my voice shaking.

Subin's grin widened. "Easy. You just have to come with us, willingly. In exchange for your sweet friend here. You better decide fast because he's already bleeding."

Heeseung's eyes widened. "No Sunoo, don't-"

"Tick tock," Subin interrupted, his tone mocking. "Time's running out."

I glanced at Niki, my heart aching at the sight of him suffering. "I'll do it," I said, trying to sound braver than I felt.

Subin clapped his hands, a mock applause. "There we go. That wasn't so hard, was it?"

Heeseung's eyes were pleading, and he held my arm. "Don't do this."

Subin rolled his eyes. "Oh, come on, Heeseung. Don't be so dramatic. It's a simple trade. Your friend for your... what is he to you anyway? Lover? Server? Both?"

Heeseung's face hardened. "You shut the fuck up."

Subin chuckled again, clearly enjoying the torment. "You're so predictable, Heeseung. Always playing the hero. But look where it’s gotten you."

I felt a surge of anger. "Just let Niki go. You have me now."

Subin's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Oh, I'll let him go. But not before we have a little fun."

He signaled to his men, and they stepped forward, grabbing me roughly. Heeseung tried to intervene, but a gun was pressed to his temple, stopping him in his tracks.

"Don't hurt him!" I shouted, struggling against their grip.

"Relax, Sunoo," Subin said, his voice sickeningly sweet. "We’re just getting started."

Heeseung’s eyes met mine, filled with a mix of fury and helplessness. "Don't you dare lay your hand on him,"

"You don’t have a choice," Subin replied. "Now, be a good boy and watch. Or your friend here will pay the price." He said, suddenly cocking a gun at my head.

"NO!" Heeseung’s voice rang out, a note of desperation in his tone. "I'll blow this place up!" My eyes widened. The signal for the boys was too early-

*BOOM*

The explosion rattled the entire mansion, the walls shaking as debris rained down. Subin's men turned towards the source of the blast, giving me a fleeting opportunity. I didn’t hesitate.
