Sunoo's POV

I was jolted awake by the realization that I had school. In a brief moment of panic, I jumped out of bed and scanned the room for the clock. I was running late. I had to hurry, and there was no time for my usual morning routine. Grabbing a towel from the wardrobe, I dashed out of the room.

But the moment I reached the front door, something was amiss. It was locked. I tugged at the handle, growing increasingly frustrated. I couldn't be late for school, not with my grades already hanging by a thread. I knew Heeseung could be a control freak, but locking me inside the apartment felt like a new level of obsession.

I banged on the door, my voice raised in alarm. "Heeseung! What's going on? I need to go to school!"

My desperate cries were met with silence, and it was the silence that seemed to unlock the door. Slowly, the door swung open to reveal two strangers. My initial shock and fear dissipated slightly as I realized they were dressed as security personnel. Their black suits and earpieces marked them as professionals.

"Who are you?" I blurted out, my eyes darting between them. The two guards remained expressionless, making me feel even more uncomfortable.

I decided to ask the question more forcefully, "I asked, who are you? What's going on here?"

One of the guards spoke, his voice cold and unwavering. "Mr. Lee has instructed us to stay with you."

Stay with me? It was absurd. What was going on with Heeseung? My heart began to race, and anxiety gnawed at my insides. He had never gone this far before.

Reluctantly, I went about my morning routine. I headed to the bathroom to take a shower, the two guards following me silently. The bathroom door closed behind me, leaving me feeling vulnerable and exposed. I couldn't even have privacy in our own home anymore.

I turned on the water, trying to drown out my anxiety. The steam and cascading water temporarily blocked out the world. But even there, I couldn't escape the sense of entrapment that was slowly consuming my life. The realization weighed heavily on my shoulders. Heeseung's obsession was not only taking a toll on our relationship but also affecting my everyday life.

As I stepped out of the shower, wrapped in a towel, the two guards were still there. I couldn't help but feel a growing resentment toward Heeseung and his intrusion into my life. I was not a prisoner, and I needed to find a way to break free from this stifling control.

But for now, I had no choice but to continue with my day under their watchful eyes, as the questions about Heeseung's motives continued to gnaw at me.

I had dressed for school, trying to focus on something other than the strange situation at home. As I approached the door, a harsh voice sliced through the silence.

"Sunoo, breakfast." Heeseung called, his tone dripping with anger. We hadn't been getting along, to say the least, and his sharp summons didn't surprise me.

I paused for a moment, my hand on the doorknob. Heeseung might be my husband, but it felt like we were complete strangers sharing the same space. I clenched my teeth, the bitterness of our situation gnawing at me. He had changed, and I couldn't recognize the man he had become.

"I'm not hungry," I said, a trace of defiance coloring my words. I had to get away from this situation, if only for a few hours. I couldn't bear to sit down with the person who had become a monster in my eyes.

But as I twisted the doorknob, Heeseung's voice came again, this time in an even more irritated tone, "Sunoo, don't be so difficult."

I knew I couldn't win this battle, but I could still assert my independence in some small way. I muttered to myself, "I'll eat at school,". And I couldn't control my anger so I mumbled under my breath, "I'd rather not eat with a demon."
