Sunoo's POV

I looked outside the window, my heart pounding as I surveyed the scene before me. Men poured out of vehicles, their faces set with grim determination. "Jesus..." I muttered, the weight of what we were about to do settling heavily on my shoulders.

Heeseung's voice cut through my thoughts. "So they can't escape this time," he said, unbuckling his seatbelt. As he moved to exit the car, I reached out, grasping his hand. My worry must have shown on my face because Heeseung paused, leaning in to press his forehead against mine.

"We'll be okay." he whispered, his eyes locked on mine. Then, with a gentle squeeze of my hand, he was gone.

I looked down at the pistol in my lap, its cold metal a stark reminder of the violence to come. Taking a deep breath, I steeled myself and got out of the car.

The moment I entered the building, chaos erupted. Gunshots echoed through the halls, the sharp cracks making me flinch. But I pushed forward, my fingers tightening around my weapon.

As I rounded a corner, I came face to face with one of Nayoon's men. Time seemed to slow as I raised my gun, squeezing the trigger before he could react. He crumpled to the ground, and I felt a twinge of regret mixed with satisfaction.

I moved deeper into the building, my senses on high alert. Another man appeared, and I ducked behind a pillar just as bullets whizzed past my head. I waited for a break in his fire, then leaned out, taking him down with two quick shots.

But I wasn't always fast enough. A fist connected with my jaw, sending me stumbling backward. I tasted blood, but there was no time to recover. I lashed out with a kick, catching my attacker in the knee. As he faltered, I followed up with an elbow to his face, dropping him to the ground.

My gun had been knocked away in the scuffle, but I didn't have time to look for it. More men were coming. I grabbed a nearby fire extinguisher, using it to block a punch before swinging it into my attacker's midsection. He doubled over, and I brought the extinguisher down on his face, leaving him unconscious, or dead.

My body ached, my lip was split, and I could feel bruises forming, but I pushed on. Each time I was knocked down, I got back up, my determination growing with each obstacle I overcame.

As I turned down another hallway, my heart leapt into my throat. There, at the end of the corridor, was Taehyun. I raised my reclaimed gun, my hands steady despite the adrenaline coursing through me.

But then Taehyun spoke, his voice filled with remorse. "Sunoo, I'm... sorry..."

I froze, shock coursing through me. "San told me everything." Taehyun continued, his eyes pleading for understanding.

In that moment, the weight of our shared pain and misunderstandings crashed over me. I lowered my gun and moved towards him. We embraced, the simple act speaking volumes about forgiveness and new beginnings.

"I'm sorry too." I whispered, feeling the tension drain from Taehyun's body.

He pulled back, his eyes urgent. "It's okay. San's in the surveillance room, bu-"

*BANG*

The deafening crack of a gunshot cut him off. Taehyun stumbled, clutching his shoulder as blood seeped between his fingers. My head whipped around to see Nayoon at the end of the hall, her face contorted with rage.

"TRAITOR!" she screamed, raising her gun for another shot.

I didn't think, I just acted. Grabbing Taehyun, I pushed him ahead of me as we ran, bullets pinging off the walls around us. We burst through a door, slamming it shut behind us.
