Sunoo's POV
As we pedaled to the hospital, the wind rushing through my hair, I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. Sunghoon's presence was always a source of comfort, and I was really grateful for him.
When we reached the hospital, Sunghoon parked his bike, and he followed me inside. As we entered the room, mom had a surprised expression.
"Oh, Sunghoon? What are you doing here?" she asked, clearly caught off guard.
Sunghoon smiled warmly at her. "I-I just dropped Sunoo here, and I wanted to visit."
My mom's gaze softened, and she motioned for him to come closer. "Omo, That's very kind of you, Sunghoon."
As Sunghoon chatted with my mom, I found myself studying the scene before me. Sunghoon's easygoing nature seemed to put my mom at ease, and I appreciate his ability to make people feel comfortable.
After a while, Sunghoon excused himself outside, leaving the two of us alone. I took a deep breath, gathering my courage to share my plans with my mom.
"Mom, I need to talk to you about something," I began, my voice steady.
She looked at me with concern, her eyes searching mine. "What is it, Dear?"
I hesitated for a moment, trying to find the right words. "My flight to Busan is scheduled for tomorrow evening."
Her eyes widened, surprise evident in her gaze. "Tomorrow? So soon?"
I nodded, my heart heavy. "Yes, Mom. I need to do this as soon as possible, for all of us."
She reached out and gently held my hand, a mixture of emotions in her eyes. "Sunoo, I know you're doing what you think is best. Just promise me you'll take care of yourself. You know how worried I am even if you just have the smallest scratch in the world."
I nodded, gratitude welling up inside me. "I promise, Mom. And... there's something else I want to tell you."
She looked at me expectantly. "Oh, what is it?"
I took a deep breath, my heart racing. "Sunghoon and I, we're... officially together."
Her eyes widened in surprise, then a soft smile formed on her lips. "Omo... OMO! That's wonderful news!"
I felt a rush of relief, and a small smile tugged at the corners of my mouth. "You're not upset?"
She chuckled softly, reaching out to brush a strand of hair away from my face. "Yah are you crazy? Sunoo, all I want is for you to be happy. And if Sunghoon makes you happy, then I'm happy for both of you."
My mom's smile turned mischievous, and she leaned in slightly. "So, Sunoo, have you and Sunghoon already had your first kiss?"
I felt my face heat up at her question, Sunghoon was even looking through the window, and I quickly averted my gaze. "Uh, Mom, let's not talk about that."
She laughed softly, clearly enjoying my embarrassment. She then took a glance at Sunghoon. "Oh, come on, Sunoo. You can tell me."
I squirmed in my seat, my cheeks turning even redder. "It's... it's not a big deal, okay?"
Her laughter was warm and reassuring. "I have to say, seeing you blush like this is quite amusing."
I let out a chuckle, unable to hold back a shy smile. "Okay, fine, you win. Yes, we did kiss."
Mom's eyes twinkled with delight. "Aww! That's sweet. You're growing up, Sunoo."
I couldn't help but chuckle at her teasing. "Mom, it's not like we're kids anymore."
