Sunoo's POV
"Sunoo... Sunoo. You're awake." I heard whispers from a voice that I didn't want to hear. As my blurry vision started to get clearer, I remembered the trauma I had experienced. The deaths of my friends, still haunts me and guilty washed over me as I didn't even try to save them.
I was in our bedroom, but with medical equipments attached on me.
"Get out." I said, my voice breaking. I didn't want to see this man's face or hear his devilish voice.
"But I'm here to take care of you, Sun." He caressed my cheeks, but I smacked his hand away.
"Listen here you little shit, I'm not playing your games anymore, and I quit being your fucking wife." I said in his face. I fixed myself to sit and added, "I'd rather be dead than see your face another day. So if you want to kill me, then do it right now. Go find yourself the perfecr wife that can deal with your shits, because I'm not that one."
Heeseung, as usual, didn't give a reaction. Instead, he touched my chin and lifted my head up, "You're the one Sun, and you won't die, unless I do first."
"..."
I gathered my strength, grabbed the nearby flower vase and smashed it on the table. I held on to the shard of glass, "Then die!" and I aimed to stab it in Heeseung's neck, but he dodged quickly, I managed to stab his left shoulder instead.
I stumbled backward, my breath quick and heavy. Blood dripped from the shard clutched in my trembling hand. Heeseung, clutching his bleeding shoulder, roared in pain and anger "GRAGH! Sunoo!"
With every ounce of strength, I dashed out of the room. Panic gripped me as I navigated the winding halls of the mansion. My heart raced, and my footsteps echoed loudly.
"SUNOO! WHERE ARE YOU!" Heeseung's furious shouts and the thundering steps of his guards pursued me.
Through sheer luck, I found myself in the dimly lit bathroom. Gasping for air, I locked the door behind me.
"You think you can get away from me Sun?! NO! YOU JUST MADE A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL!" Heeseung's voice grew closer, taunting me. He was just outside.
The bathroom door burst open. Heeseung, blodd dripping from his shoulder, confronted me. We were now both drenched, standing on the slippery tile floor. He raised his uninjured arm menacingly.
"I can't let you go, Sunoo," he hissed through clenched teeth.
My voice quivered, but I tried to sound resolute. "I won't stay with you any longer."
We lunged at each other. Wet fists clashed, slipping and sliding in the confined space. Heeseung's anger fueled him, but my determination pushed me harder.
In the chaos, I managed to shove him back. I squeezed past his hulking frame, darting out of the bathroom and down the corridor. More guards awaited me, determined to capture me.
The fight was brutal, punches landing and bodies colliding. Adrenaline coursed through me as I fought to break free. The mansion was a labyrinth of danger, but escape was the only option.
I raced down the stairs, my heart pounding like a drum. Freedom was just steps away. My breaths came in ragged gasps as I pushed my body to the limit.
Finally, the grand entrance appeared. The front door was in sight, the promise of escape. I sprinted toward it with every ounce of strength left in me.
Just as I reached for the door handle, Heeseung's hand grabbed my shoulder, yanking me back, "You little-"
*SMACK* I punched him and kicked him, breaking free of his grasp one last time. I flung the door open and tumbled onto the front steps.
