Sunoo's POV

"Mhm... H-Heeseung...?"

I woke up groggily, my head pounding with a dull ache. As my surroundings slowly came into focus, I realized I was in a hospital room. My anger surged within me, my heart racing at the thought of being trapped in this suffocating situation.

Heeseung a forced smile on his lips as if nothing was amiss. "Sunoo, you're awake," he said softly, his tone unnaturally calm.

"You...did this to Minho...?" I asked straightforwardly, I wanted to know the truth, even though I have a strong feeling that he was the one who really killed Minho.

I clenched my fists, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of acknowledging his presence. Heeseung leaned closer, his gaze filled with an odd mix of concern and tension. "Listen, Sun," he began, his voice gentle yet calculated. "I understand you're angry, but please, let's talk. I did what I did because I love you."

I shot him a glare, my anger simmering beneath the surface. How could he possibly expect me to believe that he had any genuine emotions for me? Heeseung's face softened, his eyes pleading with an air of desperation.

"I know it's hard to understand, but I want you to know that everything I've done was to protect you," he insisted, his voice wavering slightly. "I can't lose you, Sun."

My rage bubbled over, and I couldn't hold back any longer. "Protect me...?" I spat, my words laced with bitterness. "You killed Minho! And you think I'll just forgive you because you claim to fucking 'love' me?! You're fucking insane!"

Heeseung's veneer cracked, his composure slipping for a moment before he regained control. "Sun, you don't understand the complexities of my world. I did what I had to do to keep you safe," he hissed, his tone growing cold.

My heart raced, my fear mixing with my anger. But I wouldn't let him intimidate me. "You can't control me with your lies and threats anymore," I snapped back.

Heeseung's eyes flashed with anger, his restraint finally giving way to his true nature. "Don't test my patience, Sunoo," he warned, his voice low and dangerous. "I have power that reaches beyond your imagination. Remember that I can do much worse to your friends and family."

His words struck me like a blow, a chilling reminder of the lengths he would go to maintain his control. I glared at him, my resolve strengthening despite the fear. "I won't let you destroy anyone else's life,"

Heeseung's cold smirk only deepened. "We'll see, Sunoo. We'll see." He left the room with an banging the door loud.

I found myself alone in my room, the weight of everything crashing down on me. Tears streamed down my face as the reality of my situation hit me hard. I had no one to turn to, no one I could talk to, and Heeseung's threats hung over my family like a dark cloud.

I buried my face in my hands, my sobs echoing in the room. I felt so trapped, suffocated by the choices that had been forced upon me. And in the midst of my despair, a thought crossed my mind...

Sunghoon.

I hesitated for a moment, my heart racing as I debated whether or not to unblock him. We had parted ways abruptly, and I hadn't heard from him since. But he was someone who had been a part of my life, someone who had cared for me. Maybe he would understand what I was going through.

With a trembling hand, I unlocked my phone and searched for Sunghoon's name in my blocked contacts. My finger hovered over the "unblock" button for a moment before I finally pressed it.
