Heeseung's POV

My mind swirled with chaotic thoughts as I stepped through the doors of my house. The remnants of a business meeting, men in tailored suits, slick with the veneer of deceit, and discussions laden with double meanings, faded to insignificance. My mind was far from the mundane conversations of the corporate world, fixated instead on the one person who had managed to disrupt my life like no other, Kim Sunoo.

A wry smile tugged at my lips as I thought of him. A pest, an annoyance, an untamed spirit that had somehow ensnared my heart. I had dealt with countless partners in my line of work, all of them disposable like tissue paper. Love, or what I'd chosen to believe was love, was never a factor. It was a fleeting emotion, easily extinguished once my purpose was served.

But Sunoo was different, and that thought alone made me question my sanity. The way he challenged me, defied me, infuriated me - it was maddening. Yet, it was in those moments of defiance that I glimpsed something genuine, a spark that ignited my own desires. I had never wanted anyone as intensely as I wanted him.

Just the mere thought of killing Sunoo sent a pang of anguish coursing through my veins, a sensation so unfamiliar that it left me bewildered.

"You're insane, Heeseung," I muttered to myself, my voice echoing in the spacious room. "You've never been one to cling to anything. But him... he's different."

"Sunoo..." I whispered to the empty room, as if his name held the power to summon him.

"What have you done to me...?"

He was a contradiction, a chaos I couldn't resist. An enigma wrapped in defiance, with a spirit that defied even the darkest corners of my empire. I should have extinguished him like a flickering candle, as I had done with others who dared to cross my path. But Sunoo, Sunoo was different. My control over the world crumbled when faced with his stubbornness.

The vibrations of my ringing phone pulled me from my thoughts, I answered the call, my voice steady and commanding. "Speak."

Gyujoon's voice crackled through the line. "Boss, we've tracked Sunghoon's phone. They're at Karina's house."

My heart quickened at the mention of Sunghoon. He was a threat, a rival who had somehow won a place in Sunoo's heart. I couldn't allow that to continue. Karina was a pawn in this dangerous game, and it was time to remove them from the board.

My orders flowed with ruthless precision. "Kill Sunghoon and Karina, but make sure Sunoo returns to me alive and unscathed."

The line went dead, and I stood there, a man at the crossroads of obsession and reason. Sunoo had become a part of me, a madness I couldn't escape. And as much as I loathed the weakness he had ignited within me, I couldn't bear to let him go.

In the depths of my desires, I knew one thing to be true...

Sunoo was mine, and no matter the cost, I would ensure he remained so.

Sunoo's POV

I stood at the doorstep of Karina's house, my heart pounding in my chest. Beside me was Sunghoon. Karina was a dear friend, one I hadn't seen in a while. But I couldn't let Heeseung catch up to us. We needed a safe haven, at least for a day.

I rang the doorbell, and we waited in tense silence.
*CLICK CLACK CLICK CLANG CLICK* After a series of what sounded to be padlocks were unlocked, the door finally swung open, revealing Karina's surprised expression, I couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. I had disrupted her peaceful evening with my unexpected visit.

"Sunoo?" Karina blinked, clearly taken aback. "W-What are you doing here?"

I exchanged a quick glance with Sunghoon, a silent plea for him to let me do the talking. "Karina, I know this is sudden, but we're in trouble," I began, my voice trembling slightly. "We can't go home, and I don't know where else to turn."
