Heeseung's POV

When Sunoo left, I was mad at myself for how I acted. How could I be jealous of someone who's already in the grave? I ran my hands through my hair, frustrated and ashamed. Minho then woke up and looked at me.

"You better fix this, Heeseung. I'll talk to him," Minho said before heading out to chase Sunoo.

I stayed there, feeling a mix of regret and anger at my own insecurities. Then to my surprise, San stood up too and went to the door. "Come on," he said, and I followed him out to the beach.

As we walked, San broke the silence. "Don't hold Sunoo back from Sunghoon. Poor boy's been through a lot."

"Yeah, I acted like a bitch," I admitted, kicking pebbles along the shore.

San nodded. "Welp, it's never too late to say sorry. Plus, talk it out, explain why you're still jealous... why are you still jealous anyway?"

I sighed, trying to find the right words. "Well I- I'm... I'm giving my all to be the best husband for him, to the point where my focus is just... on him. Back when I was just getting into flings on and off, I was still handling business well, I could take care of myself..."

San gave me a knowing look. "Well, that's the life of a husband. You didn't expect it to be like this because you've never loved someone like Sunoo, but you're the one who wanted it."

I sighed again, deeper this time. "I... God, you're right, I'm so fucking dumb."

San chuckled. "Don't tell me you want to bring your old self back, the possessive one."

"No, no, no, I don't," I quickly shook my head.

"You're still kinda possessive though," San said with a smirk.

I gave him a side-eye. "I mean, jealous over a dead dude?" San teased, and I looked down in embarrassment.

"Yeah, I know it's ridiculous. I just... I want to be everything for Sunoo. I want to be the one who makes him happy, who he can rely on. But seeing him still affected by Sunghoon, it makes me feel like I'm not enough," I confessed, my voice heavy with emotion.

San put a hand on my shoulder, squeezing it reassuringly. "Heeseung, it's natural to feel that way. But you have to understand that Sunoo's love for Sunghoon doesn't take away from his love for you. He's still dealing with a lot of pain and grief. You need to be there for him, not make it harder."

I sighed. "Okay... I won't let my insecurities get in the way again."

San then said, "Good. Now, tomorrow is Sunoo's birthday, right? How about we surprise him?"

"What could I do that would make him forget the jerk I was earlier?" I asked, still feeling the weight of my earlier actions.

San smiled mischievously. "Well, I'll help you with that. I just need one thing."

I looked at him, curious but wary. "What?"

San's grin widened, "Your credit card."

Sunoo's POV

After grabbing a quick bite to eat, Minho and I headed back to the cabin. As we approached, I noticed the lights were still on, even though it was around 2 AM. When we entered, I saw Jake, Jay, and Niki huddled around the TV, deeply engrossed in a game.

"Happy birthday, Sunoo!" Jake shouted, not taking his eyes off the screen.

"Thank you," I replied, trying to muster a genuine smile.
