Heeseung's POV

Late at night, I got up from my bed, feeling restless. I checked the rooms, expecting to find Sunoo, but he wasn't there. I made my way downstairs and to the balcony, where I finally saw him sleeping on the couch. But to my surprise, Sunghoon was still awake, sitting on the other couch.

I caught Sunghoon's attention and signaled for him to follow me. He slowly got up, stretching his arms due to his wound. I led him to my office, where I glanced at my wine collection.

"Sit," I said to Sunghoon, gesturing towards the chair. Then I picked out a really strong wine, preparing for the conversation that needed to happen.

I poured a glass of wine for each of us, the rich aroma filling the room as I settled back into my chair. "What would you do for Sunoo?" I asked, my voice low and probing.

"Anything," Sunghoon replied immediately, his determination evident in his tone.

I couldn't help but smirk as I took a sip of my wine. "Huh, you couldn't even protect him from me," I retorted, my words sharp and cutting.

Sunghoon bristled at the accusation. "You couldn't even treat him right," he shot back, frustration evident in his voice.

I scoffed dismissively. "I gave everything Sunoo ever needed," I declared confidently. "What did you give? He even came to me because you can't help him with his needs."

Sunghoon's jaw clenched, but he held his ground. "At least I'm there whenever he needs me," he countered firmly.

Leaning forward, I met his gaze head-on. "I am too," I stated firmly, my resolve unwavering.

Sunghoon shook his head, his defiance evident. "I came all the way here to be with Sunoo. That's how much I love him," he declared passionately.

My expression hardened as I leaned back in my chair. "I keep Sunoo away from you," I countered firmly. "That's how much I want, and need him."

The tension between us was heavy as we stared each other down, both fiercely protective of the one we loved, yet locked in a battle of wills that seemed destined to continue.

Sunghoon's question caught me off guard, his desperation palpable in the air. "What will it take for you to let Sunoo go?" he asked, his eyes searching mine for some sort of understanding.

I couldn't help but smile at the simplicity of his question, and a laugh escaped my lips before I could stop it. "Nothing," I replied, my tone almost playful. "I want him, Sunghoon."

But Sunghoon seemed unconvinced, his tone pleading as he insisted, "You don't understand. Sunoo doesn't want you."

His words struck a chord within me, and for a moment, doubt flickered in my mind. But then I couldn't help but challenge him. "Then why did Sunoo call me instead of going off with you?" I countered, my skepticism evident. "Why did Sunoo give me another chance, only for things to get fucked up between us when he saw you?"

As Sunghoon struggled to find an answer, I couldn't help but feel a sense of frustration. The truth was elusive, and Sunoo's feelings seemed more complex than either of us could comprehend.

I took a deep breath, my gaze meeting Sunghoon's with unwavering determination. "I really love Sunoo," I confessed, my voice serious. "I don't want to let him go without a fight."

Sunghoon's expression softened, his eyes reflecting understanding as he asked, "What do you want to happen then?"

I gulped, knowing that my answer might not go well for me. But I couldn't deny my feelings any longer. "Let Sunoo choose," I replied, my voice steady despite the uncertainty swirling inside me.
