Sunoo's POV
Processing the revelations about Jungwon, sought more clarity. "What's the story behind Jungwon?" I asked, my voice carrying a mix of curiosity and concern.
San hesitated for a moment before unraveling a tale that intertwined the lives of Heeseung and Jungwon. "Heeseung told me, since they were kids, him and Jungwon were secret rivals, they despised each other. But, their parents forced them to reconcile, just to unite their families' businesses," San explained, shedding light on the complex history between the two.
"Both Jungwon and Heeseung inherited huge family business, and now that their parents are out of the picture, Jungwon seems intent on seizing control of it all," San continued, painting a picture of rivalry and ambition that left me pondering the true nature of our supposed ally.
As the weight of the information settled in, I questioned San about the authenticity of the address he had provided. "Is that so... Well, was the address you gave me fake?" I inquired, seeking reassurance.
"Yes, it was," San replied, his eyes expressing sincerity. "But trust me, I'll protect you and help you reunite with Sunghoon and your other friends." He vowed.
However, skepticism still lingered in my mind. "Honestly, I'm not sure if I can trust you," I admitted, my words laden with uncertainty. I needed something more to solidify my trust.
San, willing to prove his allegiance, asked, "What can I do to convince you?"
I hesitated before proposing a test of trust. "...Call Heeseung," I suggested, contemplating whether this act would truly unveil San's intentions.
"What... B-But, why?" San questioned, a sense of confusion etched across his face.
"So that I'll know that Heeseung actually knows you," I insisted, my tone carrying a blend of determination and apprehension. "Just introduce yourself. Once he knows who you are, I'll handle the rest of the conversation."
San sighed, "Fine..." As San reached for his phone, intending to make the call, a sudden interruption occurred. His phone rang, displaying Sunghoon's number on the screen. When San was about to answer it, a moment of hesitation crept over me, causing me to pause.
"Wait," I instructed, my voice holding a mix of uncertainty and caution. My thoughts raced through my mind, questioning what was the right action to do, and who to trust.
Sunghoon's POV
"Is this it?" I questioned as Jungwon pointed to the address on his phone.
"Yes..." Jungwon confirmed, his eyes scanning the surroundings.
My doubt lingered, and I couldn't help but question, "Why here? Why would Sunoo choose this place?"
Jungwon, thinking critically, responded calmly, "Sunoo is not dumb. He wouldn't walk into a warehouse alone unless he had a reason. This might be a trap."
My concern deepened as I contemplated the situation. "What if Sunoo is really there? We can't risk him being alone."
Jungwon, maintaining composure, reasoned with his own perspective, "Do you really think Sunoo would lead us to a random warehouse? We need to be cautious. Heeseung could already have his men here, or he could already be watching us right now."
I took a deep breath, grappling with the complexities of the situation. "We can't let Heeseung get to Sunoo first this time. We have to find him."
Jungwon, understanding the urgency, nodded in agreement. "I assure you, Sunghoon, we will get Sunoo back this time. But we need to approach this carefully, avoiding any potential traps."
