You hate it when people keep secrets from you. More specifically, you hate when Isaac keeps secrets from you.

You and Isaac had been dating for nearly a year, and things couldn't be better. Or worse. It was hard to decide where your relationship was going. On one hand, you and Isaac had become so close that you were sure you loved him. On the other hand, Isaac had been sneaking around a lot more lately: taking off in the middle of the night, leaving chains in his locker at school, hanging out with new people like Scott McCall and Erica Reyes.

There were certain elements you didn't mind. Isaac's dad was out of the picture. He wore hot leather jackets to school, and excelled at lacrosse. Yet the bad still outweighed the good. For example, the sneaking around and the sudden interest in scarfs.

When Erica and that Vernon Boyd kid went missing, Isaac seemed more hurt than you would have thought. He hadn't even hung out with them much, as far as you knew.

Texting Isaac was the best thing you could do. You couldn't fathom why he was flaking out so often lately.

Where are you?

You subtlety asked him his location. It wasn't long before he replied.

At Deaton's

He was at the veterinarian's?

What are you doing there?

This one took Isaac longer to respond to.

Helping Scott

If ever there was a last straw, that was it. Spending time with Scott McCall was nothing out of the ordinary. However the Beacon Hills veterinarian was a different story.

You climbed onto your bicycle and began peddling, questions flowing through your mind.

When you arrived at the clinic, you parked your bike behind the building and peeked through the window.

You had a clear sight of Isaac, Scott, Stiles, Dr. Deaton, and Derek Hale. Your boyfriend would rather spend time with the town creep than you.
Angrily, you stalked around to the front of the building.

"We're closed," an unfamiliar adult voice responded to the bells on the door.

You ignored this warning and walked into the room where the men stood.

"[Y/N]," Isaac said. "What are you doing here?" He was squatting next to a tub of ice.

You couldn't think of a good way to explain to Isaac why you had come. Any way you could put it made you seem too possessive and self-conscious.

"Ah," Dr. Deaton interrupted the silence. "You're [Y/N]. Isaac's girlfriend? Nice to meet you. I'm Dr. Deaton." He pulled off a plastic glove and extended his hand. You stared, shocked, embarrassed and confused at what you were doing.

Dr. Deaton sensed your discomfort and let his hand relax at his side.

"What are you doing?" You asked Isaac, eyes glued to the ice tub.

Derek smirked in a knowing way, almost seeming happy that a possible confrontation was present.

Isaac didn't say anything. Still crouching by the tub, he shifted his weight from foot to foot, as if trying to think of an answer. Scott and Stiles looked back and forth from each other, as if trying to help Isaac think of a lie.

Derek folded his arms, raising his eyebrows without saying a word. The older man had an uncomfortable shine in his glaring eyes.

"You're one of them, aren't you?" You asked Derek. "You're a werewolf."
This seemed to even suprise Derek, who uncrossed his arms. But none were more shocked than Isaac, who nearly fell backwards in his awkward position.

"How do you know about werewolves?" Derek spoke for the first time.

"This is Beacon Hills, for God's sake. I've lived here my entire life. You think I've never seen a werewolf before?" You asked. Suddenly, you made the connection. "You're all werewolves, aren't you? Even you Isaac."

Your voice rose every word you spoke. And Isaac seemed to melt.

"Not me," Stiles interrupted. "I'm just, ah... and Deaton..."

"[Y/N], I'm sorry," Isaac whispered.

"It's... okay, Isaac," you said. "You could have just told me. I wouldn't have cared."

Isaac smiled a little without looking up. Everyone else in the room waded uncomfortably.

"You never told me what you were doing," you said.

"I'm going under here," Isaac splashed his hand through the water. "So we can find out where Boyd and Erica are."

None of that made sense to you. Your werewolf boyfriend was going to submerge himself into a tub of ice in order to discover the locations of two kids from your school that went missing months ago.

"Can I help?" You didn't want to bother them with all of your questions.

"You can help hold him down," Derek interrupted.

"Okay," Isaac sighed, standing up and taking off his shirt. "I'm ready."

"Wait," you said.

You walked up to Isaac with two brisk steps and threw your hands onto his shoulders, pulling him down to your height and shoving your lips onto his. "Go find them."
