QOTD: Are you excited for 6B?
AOTD: Not really...

You stacked an empty shelf full of pretzels, mentally cursing yourself for having taken a job at the grocery store with a rude boss and crazy customers.

You reached down to grab another box of pretzels, and felt someone's hand creep across your wrist.

"Did you see her?" A disheveled looking lady asked, holding your wrist with a death grip. Her hair was messy, and she looked as if she hadn't showered in weeks.

"Sorry?" You asked, avoiding eye contact.

"Did you see her take her last breath?" She spoke in a raspy, whispery tone.

"I'm sorry. I don't..."

"Was it you? Did you kill her? Did you stab my daughter in the back? Did you strangle her with your bare hands? Or are you keeping her alive somewhere? Do you still have her? You still have her. She's still alive. Where are you keeping her? Where are you keeping my daughter?"

You stood frozen, too afraid to speak or to tell her that whoever her daughter was, you didn't kill her.

"Tell me where my daughter is and I'll let you go," she said. "Tell me nothing and I'll kill you."

Your heart jumped, and you tried to take a step back but her grip was too strong. "What's... What's your daughter's name?"

"You know my daughter. You have her. You have my daughter. She's my Erica. She's not yours. She's mine."

Your eyes widened when you realized who the woman was, and remembered the circumstances of Erica's death. You, one of Erica's best friends, didn't even think to tell her mom.

"Leave her alone," Stiles walked up behind you.

"And you too!" Erica's mom yelled.

"Get out of here!" Stiles said louder.

She tightened her grip on you before letting go, giving you one last work before turning away.

"Oh my god," you finally breathed out.

"Hey, hey, it's okay. I'm sure Erica's mom was a wack job before her daughter died. You just got caught in the middle of the craziness."

"No. No, Erica made it seem like her mom was completely normal. I did this, Stiles. I didn't tell her anything, and she'll never know what happened to her daughter."

"None of this is your fault," he said, putting his hands on your shoulders.

"I don't want to do this anymore," you whimpered.

"Do... Do what?"

"I don't want to be involved. I just want to go home and live like a normal person," you cried. "We're humans. We shouldn't be involved in this."

"You don't want to do this? Okay. We won't do it. I mean, I'll help Scott out when I'm needed, but other than that we won't do anything. If that's what you want, we'll do it."

"Really?"

"You want a normal life, I'll work my ass off to give you one."

"Thank you, Stiles," you said, walking into a hug.

"Anything for you," he said, smiling.
