You walked down the long sidewalk to Scott's house, admiring the full moon lighting up the sky.

You bounded up the steps to the porch, and rang the doorbell once, twice, three times. He didn't answer.

Don't be invasive, you told yourself. Don't go in. Don't be the obsessive, possessive girlfriend that you are.

But you weren't smart enough to listen to yourself, and walked straight into your boyfriend's unlocked house.

"Scott?" You called out. Still, there was no answer. "Scott?"

You heard a thump come from upstairs, and started up the staircase, continuing to call his name.

When you came to the top of the staircase, you noticed that his door was half closed, and slowly pushed it open all the way to reveal Scott crouching on the ground in the corner of the room, panting.

"Scott?"

"Get out," he groaned.

"Are you okay?"

"I said get out!" He whipped himself around, showing you his grotesque face, and clawed you across the stomach.

You fell to the ground, shaking and terrified as he stood over you, breathing heavily. You watched, silent, as he closed his eyes and allowed his face to change back to its natural form.

"[Y/N]," he fell to his knees next to you. "I'm so sorry."

You didn't say anything. You were in shock, and pain. Scott continued talking to you, ranting about werewolves and such, and about half of his words managed to leak into your brain, but you mostly shut him out until he grabbed your hand, sending chills up your spine, and took away your pain.

"Scott," you finally said.

"Yeah?"

"I want you to listen to me closely, okay? I want you to take me to the hospital, and then I never want you to talk to me again."

Scott looked at the ground, and refused to respond, but followed your instructions and took you to the hospital, where he claimed that there had been an animal attack.

That was the last of Scott you saw for a while. You were out of school for a week, and when you came back, you were told that Scott's presence had been ephemeral- whatever that means.

When you did finally see him in the hallway one day, you averted your eyes. You weren't ready to talk to him.

The next day, Stiles met you at your locker and tried to plead Scott's case, saying that none of it was his fault and that he wasn't the monster you probably thought him to be. And part of you wanted to believe this. Part of you wanted to apologize to him for freaking out, but you weren't ready for that.

After another week, you started to miss him. You started to miss being by his side, and being able to talk to him. You wanted to lay next to him again, but you weren't ready to get back together.

But there came a time when you couldn't bear being apart from him any longer, werewolf or not. And so the next time you saw him in the hallway, you approached him.

"Hey," you said.

"Hey."

"I'm sorry."

"No, I'm sorry."

"Yeah, well, I'll see you around."

Things were better between you and Scott from there on out. You still didn't talk, despite the fact that every time anything happened, your first instinct was to tell him about it.

You finally spoke again on October 3rd, when you fell down the stairs at school. And as all of your classmates laughed as they walked by, Scott stopped and helped you gather up your stuff.

"You alright?" He asked.

"I think I hurt my wrist," you laughed stiffly.

"Do you want me to...?"

You looked around to affirm that no one was in sight, and nodded. Scott took your wrist, and you watched in fascination as black travelled up his veins.

"That's beautiful," you told him. "What you can do."

"Thanks. You know, I'm not all monstrous."

"Scott, I'm really sorry. That night at your house... I didn't mean it when I told you not to talk to me again. I still love you."

"You do?"

"Yeah."

"Well, I still love you, too."
