Chapter 12:

They walked up to the girls, greeting them. Camila eyed Beatrice, which she noticed.

-What?, asked the brunette.

-I like your style., shrugged Camila with a smile.

-I shall take the credit. Madam had a tie and her shirt buttoned up., chuckled Ava, nudging Beatrice slightly to tease her.

-Hm, okay then., nodded Camila, who received a look from Beatrice.

She opted for staying quiet from now on.

-So, can we go in now?, asked Lilith who seemed weirdly excited.

-Well yeah but there's a bouncer so get your ID's out., replied Mary, showing them her ID in her hand.

-Alright, alright., nodded Lilith, grabbing her purse.

Once they checked for their ID's and they were allowed inside, the music and lights were a lot to take in for Beatrice but also for Ava. She didn't like admitting it but she had never gone to a club before. She walked around, her eyes wide as she watched people dancing and enjoying themselves.

-Let's find a table so we can hang there!, yelled Shannon over the loud EDM music.

The girls nodded and followed Shannon to a round table in the corner of the club that was being cleaned by a lady. They waited for her to finish up and then sat down.

-Alright! Drinks?, said Camila with an excited face.

-Yes please., nodded Mary as she sat back.

-Do we have to go to the counter or is there like a waiter?, asked Beatrice, unsure of how all of it works.

-Well, in this club there's waiters luckily., said Lilith with a light smirk as she was had her eyes on a bartender.

They followed her gaze, seeing a boy around their age. Camila cleared her throat and shook her head.

-Let's get drinks., said Camila as she waved for a waiter.

A girl walked up to them, taking their order. Beatrice felt weird ordering water but she was glad that no one commented on it. The girl left with their order after each paid their drink.

-So, anyone feel like dancing?, asked Ava excitedly.

-We just got here. Let us drink our drinks first., chuckled Shannon.

-Right., nodded Ava with a smile.

-Lets just talk while we wait., smiled Camila, looking at her friends.

-Yeah, let's talk about how you humiliated Sarah on the field., chuckled Mary.

-I mean, she tried to tackle me but failed horribly. Is she really the captain of our team?, asked Ava with a sigh.

-Yeah. She's not the best but her parents pay for our jersey's and bus when we have to travel to an opponent's school., explained Mary with a shrug.

-And no one calls out the bribe? A captain should be a leader and not some bitch with a half functional braincell., stated Ava, shaking her head in disbelief.

-Do not talk about her like that., said Beatrice with a warning tone that Ava had only experienced early in the same day.

Ava looked at her and nodded.

-Sorry. I didn't mean to upset you. Let's just- Let's change subject., apologized Ava, remembering what she saw in the morning.

-Sure. Oh, Ava, tell us about your love life., smirked Camila.

-You mean my non existent love life?, asked the brunette.

-Oh come on. Give us something., pouted Camila, making her friend roll her eyes and nod.

-Fine. Well, I had a thing with a guy but eh, didn't care much about it. His name was JC. It was nice while it lasted. We moved so we haven't been in contact since., explained Ava with a shrug.

-As in Jesus Christ?, joked Shannon, making Mary roll her eyes.

Ava chuckled, not giving her an answer though.

-Interesting. Now, another question. Oh, oh. How did you know that you were bi?, asked Camila out of curiosity.

Lilith nudged Camila lightly, shaking her head.

-Oh, uhm. Only if you feel comfortable telling us, of course., added the Camila quickly, understanding that it might put Ava on the spot.

-Well, you know Vanessa Hudgens, right?, said Ava with a chuckle.

-Yes, we do. Miss Gabriella is a legend., nodded Shannon, watching as the others agreed.

-Yeah but it wasn't that character. Have you guys watched a movie called Journey 2 the mysterious island? With Dwayne Johnson and Josh Hutcherson?, asked Ava with an embarrassed expression.

-Oh. Yup. I get you., nodded Mary.

Camila took her phone out to google the movie, looking up Vanessa Hudgens' character in it. She clicked on a picture of Vanessa Hudgens' character and nodded.

-The purple tank top with the white buttoned up shirt? Yeah., chuckled Ava as Camila showed the picture around.

-This is fun. Let's do our queer awakenings! Who's next?, asked Camila with a smirk.

-I mean, Mary was my moment of first gay panic., admitted Shannon.

-Yup. I did that., nodded Mary proudly.

-How long have you two known each other?, asked Ava out of curiosity.

-We were in the same class when we started high school. It's been quite a few years now., chuckled Shannon.

-Oh. And how did you know-, tried Ava as she looked at Mary but was interrupted by Lilith.

-I cannot listen to Mary talking about Emily Fields in pretty little liars again., said Lilith, shaking her head.

-Oh. Yeah, I get that. I used to have a big crush on her., admitted Ava with a nod.

-Her character was weirdly written in some parts of the show. Let's be honest., added Lilith.

-Oh yeah, totally. But, she was still hot., shrugged Mary with a chuckle.

-She sure was., nodded Ava, laughing when she saw Lilith rolling her eyes.

-Hailee Steinfeld in Barely Lethal and Pitch Perfect 2., said Beatrice, avoiding eye contact from a specific brunette.

No one at the table had expected Beatrice to join in on it. Ava was staring for a moment but then snapped out of it, chuckling.

-Oh, immaculate taste. Please tell me you watched Bumblebee?, said Ava with a bright smile.

-Yeah, I did. I liked it. I preferred Dickinson though., admitted Beatrice, trying to feel less awkward and tense.

-Oh and her voicing Vi in the Arcane show? Immaculate. Perfection., added the smaller brunette, dramatically putting a hand on her chest, as if something hit her heart.

Beatrice nodded and chuckled at that, now looking around in the bar since she felt less anxious.

The waiter came back with their drinks. The girls thanked her and finally started drinking. But Beatrice noticed something that the other girls did not notice.
