Once Beatrice was ready to leave, she walked downstairs, finding Vincent waiting for her at the main entrance to hand her the keys to his car.

-Thank you. And don't wait up for me. Also, tell the girls that I don't want them to follow me tonight. I want to have a normal evening. No secret bodyguards. Understood?, said Beatrice as she took his keys.

-Yes, Miss. I will inform them of your wish. If you need anything, I will keep my phone by my side., replied Vincent, opening the door for Beatrice.

-Thank you. Goodnight now, Vincent., nodded Beatrice as she walked out of the mansion, walking up to Vincent's car.

She got in the car and drove off, remembering Ava's place from when she walked her home after the football incident. She didn't live that far away from there but she took her time, knowing that she's going to be early. She just drove around in complete silence, lost in her thoughts. She had only agreed to go out that night because her new friend. Well, friend wouldn't be exact the word Beatrice would use to describe Ava. She shook her head, not wanting to go down that road. Figuratively. She kept driving, eventually pulling up at Ava's house. She got out of the car, walking up to the door, ringing the bell and waiting for someone to open. A little boy appeared. Around 10 years old probably. She smiled lightly.

-Hey. I'm here to pick up Ava?, she said with a soft tone, seeing that the boy was eyeing her since he didn't know her.

-Ava? Oh. You're her friend?, asked the boy.

-Yeah. I'm Beatrice., nodded Beatrice with a light chuckle.

-I'm Diego. I'm Ava's brother., explained the little boy when a bigger figure appeared behind him.

-Oh, Beatrice. Hi. Come in. Ava's still in the bathroom getting ready., said the mother, opening the door completely, moving to the side to let her in.

-Thank you, Miss Silva., nodded the girl as she walked in.

-Oh there's no need for formalities. Call me Marisa. Would you like a tea or something?, replied the woman as she walked to the kitchen/living room area.

-No, thank you. I'm okay., smiled Beatrice politely.

-Alrighty. Diego, can you go annoy your sister so she hurries up?, said Marisa.

The boy nodded and basically ran away. Beatrice just stood there awkwardly, looking around.

-I have a weird request, if you don't mind., continued Marisa, getting Beatrice's attention.

-What is it?, asked Beatrice with a small smile.

-Can I give you my phone number in case of emergencies?, asked the mother.

-Oh. Sure, yeah., nodded Beatrice, taking her phone out.

She handed the unlocked phone to the woman who then added her number to Beatrice's weirdly short contact list.

-Thank you. And I'd appreciate it if you don't tell Ava about this., said Marisa as she handed the phone back.

-Tell me about what?, asked Ava who appeared in the doorframe.

Beatrice turned to her side to look at her. She couldn't help but raise her eyebrows slightly at her new sight. She didn't expect seeing Ava in a dress. It was cute. Not too chic but not too casual.

-It's between me and your new friend, isn't that right Beatrice?., smiled the mother with a chuckle.

-Yes. Right., nodded Beatrice, only now looking away from Ava.

Ava walked up to Beatrice, who was wearing a normal white buttoned shirt with a black tie.

-You clean up nice., teased Ava.

-Thank you. So do you., nodded Beatrice, looking at Ava.

-A little too...what's the word...uptight. Loosen up a little. What's with the tie?, chuckled Ava as she took a step towards Beatrice and started loosening the tie.

She then took it out completely and nodded.

-Better. Now unbutton the two first buttons., said Ava with a smile.

Beatrice was too much under...well, gay panic to disobey her. She unbuttoned her buttons and looked at Ava.

-Perfect. Now you don't look like a teacher who's about to scold us., chuckled the smaller brunette.

The mother cleared her throat. Beatrice looked at her, a small blush visible on her cheeks.

-You should get going or you're going to be late., said the mother.

-Yes, Mom., nodded Ava, walking up to her pecking her cheek.

-Be good!, said Marisa as she walked them to the main door.

-Always!, yelled Ava back as they walked out of the house.

-Bye Beatrice., smiled the mother as Beatrice stepped out.

-Goodbye, Marisa., replied the younger girl, taking her car keys out.

She walked up to the car, where Ava was already waiting for her. She unlocked it, getting in.

-Are you ready to partyyyyy?, asked Ava excitedly.

-Sure., nodded Beatrice with a light chuckle as she started the car.

She pulled out of the driveway, making their way to the club.

-Your mother and brother seem nice., stated Beatrice, keeping her eyes on the road.

-Yeah. I've only had my mom since my dad left us. She settled down with Mike and that's how I got a stepbrother. I love that little idiot. And Mike is a decent dude so I'm glad my mom found him., nodded Ava with a light smile as she looked out the window.

-That's nice., nodded the girl.

-What about you? Any siblings?, asked the smaller girl, now looking at Beatrice.

-Nope. Just me., shrugged Beatrice, not looking back at Ava.

-Oh. Not even a pet? I see you as a dog person., chuckled Ava, gaining a little smile from her friend but also an eye roll.

-No, I do not have a dog. I am not allowed to have one., explained Beatrice.

-Awww. That's sad. But, was I right about you being a dog person? I mean, do you like dogs?, asked Ava out of curiosity.

-I do like dogs, yes. They are intelligent and loyal., nodded the taller brunette, glancing at Ava with a light smile before looking back a traffic light.

-I knew it., smiled Ava brightly, wiggling a little on the seat out of excitement.

They drove to a little parking lot that was close to the club, getting out, quickly paying for a ticket so they wouldn't get in trouble and then walked out to go to the club. As they approached the club, they saw the girl already waiting for them, waving and smiling.
