Beatrice was ready to leave after the reveal, grabbing her stuff.
-Where are you going? Aren't you coing with us?, frowned Ava as she watched her girlfriend get up to leave.
-No. Not anymore. I need to...to talk with Vincent., replied Beatrice as she put her jacket on.
-Okay, then I'm coming with you., shrugged Ava as she grabbed her jacket as well.
-No, you're not. I need to be alone with him., argued the older brunette.
-Why?, frowned the smaller brunette as she walked with Beatrice, followed by her friends' eyes.
-Because I said so., replied Beatrice.
Ava felt a pinch in her heart, looking at her girlfriend.
-That hurt me., admitted Ava, not afraid to share how she feels.
-I'm sorry. I'm just trying to protect you., explained Beatrice as she grabbed Ava's hands and looked her in the eyes.
-Let me come with you., asked Ava again.
-No, Ava., sighed the older girl.
-But why?, wondered Ava with a frown.
-Because I dont know what I'll have to do to get information out of him, Ava., replied Beatrice, letting go of her hands.
-What? What do you mean? Are you going to torture him into giving you information?, frowned Ava.
-If I have to, yes., nodded Beatrice.
-That is not like you. You wouldn't hurt a fly., replied the younger brunette as Beatrice looked at Lilith.
She grabbed Lilith's keys and tossed them at her.
-Can you drive me home?, asked Beatrice.
Lilith looked at the girls, unsure of what to do.
-Bea, you can't be serious. You can't just hurt Vincent into telling you what happened. This could all just be a misunderstanding., said Ava with a frown.
-I'm very serious. Do you really think this is a coincidence. My father dying a few days after that girl saw Vincent talk to Duretti about his meeting from today?, asked Beatrice as she shook her head.
Ava went silent, she knew it was too big of a coincidence.
-Lilith?, said Beatrice, watching her friend.
Lilith gave in and sighed, getting up and walking up to Beatrice.
-Okay. Let's go., nodded Lilith.
-Lilith-, tried Ava.
-No. If she wants this, she'll get it. She just lost her father, Ava. If she thinks this will help her, then I support it., argued Lilith.
-But this is wrong-, continued Ava.
-Bye, Ava., said Beatrice as she kissed her cheek and walked out of the house.
-If you- If you leave- we're done. I can't- I refuse to date someone who willingly causes pain on others, even if they're guilty. There is other ways and you know it.,said Ava with a shaky voice.
Beatrice stopped walking, tears in her eyes now. She turned to look at Ava.
-I'm sorry. I love you. But you can't control me., replied Beatrice as a few tears ran down her cheeks.
-Beatrice!, tried Marisa.
Beatrice looked down, shaking her head to herself. She walked to Lilith's car and got in, closing the door and keeping her head down. Ava watched through her blurry eyes. She felt arms around her, knowing it was Camila. She hugged her back, tightly. She hid her face into her friend's body as she broke down. Lilith started the car and drove off with her friend.
She took Beatrice to her house, dropping her off and then leaving her alone. Beatrice walked up to the entrance, seeing two of the girls opening the door instead of Vincent.
-Evening, Miss. He's downstairs., said one of the girls.
Beatrice nodded at that.
-Perfect., said the brunette as she made her way to the basement door.
She unlocked it with her fingerprint and walked down the stairs. She ignored the shivers that went down her spine as she realized she hadn't been down there for a while. She walked to a bigger room, opening the door. She saw Vincent sitting on a chair in the middle of the room, tied up with his hands on the armrests and his ankles against the chair's legs. His mouth was taped shut. She closed the door, looking at the girls,
-Thank you, girls., said the brunette.
She then rolled her sleeves up, folding them carefully. She walked over to the sink, washing her hands.
-Take the tape away., said Beatrice as she dried her hands with a clean towel, her back still facing Vincent and the two girls.
One of the girls, Dora, approached Vincent and ripped the tape off his mouth pretty harshly, making the man grunt. Beatrice finally turned around and walked up to him, grabbing a second chair and placing it turned around in front of the man. She sat down, looking at him.
-There seems to have been a misunderstanding, Miss., spoke Vincent, breaking the silence.
-You think so?, said Beatrice with a fake frown.
-Yes, Miss. You seem to be thinking that I had anything to do with your father's assassination., replied the man, watching Beatrice closely
-Did you not?, questioned Beatrice with a blank expression.
-No. Of course not, Miss., continued Vincent.
-Mmm. I see. So this was all just a mistake from us, hm?, said Beatrice as she looked at Dora and the second girl.
-Yes, Miss., nodded the man.
-So your meeting with Duretti has nothing to do with my father. Got it., nodded Beatrice, obviously being sarcastic.
She watched as the man froze, his mouth closing. He was avoiding her gaze, just staring into nothingness.
-Yeah, thought so., nodded Beatrice as she shook her head.
-You have to understand-, tried Vincent but he went quiet when he saw Beatrice getting up quickly, almost making her chair fall over.
-No, no. I understand. You decided to backstab the people who have been trusting you and caring for you for over two decades. 24 years. All thrown away. And for what, hm? What did he promise you? Power? Money?, spoke Beatrice angrily, slowly getting worked up.
-That's not-, tried Vincent.
-You were like a father to me. You raised me. Do I mean nothing to you? Was it all just an act? I lost two fathers, today. You realize that, right? By getting him killed, you killed our relationship. Hell, you probably killed yourself because I haven't decided if you get to get out alive or not., continued Beatrice, not letting him speak.
-I owed him., spoke Vincent finally.
-What?, questioned Beatrice with a frown.
