Beatrice wasn't someone who would lay in bed until late in the morning. Once she'd wake up, she would also get up. It was around 8am, she was fully awake. She didn't want to make any sudden movements as she felt someone next to her, basically glued to her. She looked down, seeing Ava still holding her hand and now her forehead against Beatrice's chest. Beatrice smiled softly, now slowly moving away though. She freed her hand gently without waking Ava up and she got out of bed. She sneaked her way out of the room and went downstairs. She walked to the kitchen, seeing Marisa making coffee. The mother turned around when she heard the footsteps.

-Oh finally. A morning person. Good morning, Beatrice., smiled Marisa as she put milk into her coffee.

-Good morning, Marisa., chuckled Beatrice.

-Coffee?, asked the mother.

-Yes, please., nodded the younger brunette.

Marisa motioned for Beatrice to sit down at the table so she did. She watched Marisa make the coffee and then hand it to her.

-Milk or sugar?, asked Marisa.

-Milk, please., replied Beatrice with a light smile.

The mother nodded and grabbed the milk, handing it to Beatrice before sitting at the table as well, in front of Beatrice.

-So, how was last night?, grinned the mother.

-I assume her told you., said Beatrice as she poured milk into her coffee.

-I have no idea what you are talking about., smiled Ava's mother, obviously lying.

-It went great, yeah., nodded Beatrice with a chuckle.

-So...when's the first date?, wondered the mom.

-Oh. Uhm, Ava wants to wait until after...after you're done with boy who hurt her., explained Beatrice, taking a sip of her coffee.

-Oh. Okay. I see. And you're okay with that?, asked Marisa.

-Of course. I don't want her to feel pressured and I certainly don't want her to feel overwhelmed. I'll be here for her during these tough times as a friend until she's ready., replied Beatrice, looking her in the eyes to show her that she meant it.

-Good, good. Listen...just be good to her. She's been hurt too many times. She's been used too many times. She stopped having expectations. She's allowing herself to be open with you so don't make her regret her. If you hurt her...if you hurt my girl-, said the mother.

-Miss Silva, I like your daughter. I have no bad intentions. I will not hurt her. I will not use her. I will be good to her. You have my word. I hope with time, you will believe me and trust me., replied Beatrice, sitting up straight as she spoke.

-I know you're a good person. You took care of Ava when she needed you the most. But I also want you to be gentle with her heart. I don't know how much she has told you about her past. I will nor assume nor share. But I will say, she hasn't had it easy. I just want to know that...it'll be different with you., sighed the mother as she took sips of her coffee.

-I will treat her right. I promise. And I keep my promises., promised the younger girl as she nodded.

Marisa nodded and was about to talk again but she saw her daughter appear at the door, half asleep.

-Good morning sunshine., chuckled the mother.

Beatrice turned around and smiled as she saw Ava sleepily wave at them. The younger brunette made eye contact with Beatrice and pouted.

-The bed got cold when you left. Are you coming back?, said Ava, yawning after she got done talking.

-It's 8:13am, Ava. I'm not going back to bed., chuckled Beatrice.

-So you're a morning person? Ugh. Disappointing., joked Ava as she stretched.

Beatrice chuckled and grabbed her coffee.

-I'll come back to bed if you want me to, but I'll start working on our assignment on my laptop. Deal?, said Beatrice, getting up.

-You brough your laptop to a sleepover?, judged Ava with a scrunched nose.

-Yes, I did., smiled Beatrice.

-Fiiiine. I'll go pee and then back to bed. You better be there by then., replied the younger brunette, walking away.

Beatrice turned to Marisa.

-Is it okay if I take the coffee with me?, asked the girl.

-Of course., smiled the mother.

-Okay. Thank you. I will see you later., nodded Beatrice, walking back upstairs.

She sneaked back into the room and to Ava's bed, grabbing her laptop and placing it on her lap, putting the coffee on Ava's nightstand. She then heard the door open, Ava peaking in. She smiled when she saw Beatrice and rushed over to the bed. She laid down next to Beatrice, grabbing her hand again.

-I need my hand to type, Ava., whispered Beatrice as she chuckled.

Ava pouted and pulled her hand away. Beatrice chuckled and moved her hand to Ava's hand, playing with it.

-Is this okay? I'll stop every once in a while when I find something to write., said Beatrice with a light smiled as she looked down at Ava.

Ava nodded and moved closer to Beatrice.

-Perfect., mumbled Ava sleepily.

Beatrice started searching everything related to Isopods as Ava had chosen that sea animal to write and present the project about. She found it an odd yet predictable choice. Ava was too unique to choose a boring animal. She was everything but boring. She liked things that others didn't. As if she wanted to choose the underdog of the sea. The animal that doesn't get recognized or talked about enough. The first few days that Beatrice had spent with Ava had taught her so much about the girl. But she could also tell that there was more to Ava than just the sunshine and ball of positive energy behavior. She hoped that she would be able to find the other side of the girl's personality if the girl ever allowed her to. That's when it hit her. She will eventually have to tell Ava that...she's the lost...princess. That made her scrunch her nose. Even her friends didn't know about her. She hated that title just as much as she hated the thought of people calling her princess. Or so she thought.
