-Okay. Oh, look what I found on the rug in the living room., smiled the boy, showing them a button.

Ava's eyes widened as she blushed furiously. She cleared her throat.

-Oh. I must have lost that without noticing. Thanks, Diego., tried Ava with an on edge voice.

-Here you go., smiled the boy, handing it to her.

Beatrice was trying to hold her smirk back but was failing miserably. That's when Marisa appeared.

-Hey girls. How was the picnic?, asked Marisa with a smile.

-Good, good. We talked a lot and ate a lot., smiled Beatrice.

-Yeah? That's great., nodded the mother.

-Marisa, can I maybe stay the night? I gave the staff a few days off and the mansion feels a little empty., wondered the brunette.

-Of course. You're always welcome to stay., smiled Marisa, stepping aside to let them in.

-Thank you. I appreciate it. I mean, I appreciate everything you've done for me these past few weeks. You're...you're like the family I never had., admitted Beatrice with a little sigh.

She felt Diego hug her tighter which made her relax and smile softly.

-You're part of the family now, Beatrice. You're always welcome here., replied the mother.

Ava placed her hand on Beatrice's back and nodded at her, motioning for her to go in. Beatrice nodded and stepped inside, still holding Diego.

-Alright. Everyone, go to sleep. You have school, little mister. And you two girls could really use some rest., said Marisa after ruffling Diego's hair.

Beatrice smiled and walked up the stairs, going into Diego's room and placing him on his bed. She pulled the blanket over him and then pecked his forehead.

-Goodnight, Diego., smiled Beatrice.

-Goodnight, Bea., replied the boy as he cuddled his plushy.

Beatrice smiled at the sight and walked out, closing the door behind herself. She then walked to Ava's room, not seeing her girlfriend.

-Ava?, asked Beatrice.

-Bathroom!, replied the smaller brunette.

Beatrice chuckled and closed the door. She walked up to Ava's closet and grabbed her usual pajamas, getting undressed. Ava came back from the bathroom wearing Beatrice's hoodie. Just the hoodie. Beatrice stopped in her tracks and stared at her girlfriend.

-Your family is home., said Beatrice as she took her shirt off.

-Mhm., smiled Ava, obviously not caring.

-I'm sorry, my love. Can we just cuddle tonight?, asked the brunette.

-Yes. Of course, Bea., nodded Ava, walking up to her and pecking her cheek.

-I'm sorry. It was just a long day and with all that happened, I just don't feel in the mood for this., apologized Beatrice.

-Hey, you don't have to justify yourself. I just thought we could have some fun so you could let loose a little. But if you prefer just cuddles, I'll be more than happy with that., smiled the smaller girl, taking Beatrice's hand.

-Thank you, my love., replied the taller girl, leaning down and pecking her forehead.

-Of course., said Ava, closing her eyes as she felt Beatrice's lips on her forehead.
