Y/N's POV

Life has been going so good lately. I have been quite busy with work though it kind of picked up a lot here recently. I think it is cool though because being busy is always something I love. Me and Alan have been having a lot of dates here recently too. However, me and Derek would be hanging out today.

"Alan has been busy with work lately," Derek said.

"I know I kind of figured. I feel like all of us have been kind of busy lately," I said.

"Yeah, work is kind of picking up quickly. I just wish we could be on the road already," Derek said.

"The day will come," I said with a smile.

"I hope so. I kind of want to live an out of the box life," Derek said.

"Oh I forgot I got you something," I said.

"What could you have gotten me?" Derek asked.

"Well I had gone to the record shop the other day and picked up some records. I got you this," I said handing him a vinyl of The Carpenters.

"Ohh, an album of The Carpenters," he replied with a smile.

"Yeah, I saw it and I thought of you," I said with a smile.

"Thanks man," he replied but hugging me.

"And I got Alan a Bee Gees album. I have never seen this album before but I thought he might like it," I said.

"Oh, I know he is going to love it. When are you going to give it to him?" Derek asked.

"Probably today. He is supposed to come over after work which is my favorite thing ever," I said.

"You two are so cute together. You guys getting excited to see one another after work makes me happy," Derek said.

"Yeah, it is kind of insane to think about. I never thought I could be this happy in my life," I said.

"I knew someday you and Alan would be together," Derek said.

"You knew?" I asked.

"Well of course. I know you guys had not looked at one another too much before you two finally realized there was something there," Derek said.

"Yeah, it was kind of interesting how it all began," I said.

"I think it is cute how it all began," Derek said.

"Well what do you want to do now?" I asked.

"I want to try out this album and listen to it," Derek said.

"Then go ahead and put it on," I said.

Derek went ahead and put the album on the record player.

"It is such a beautiful album," Derek commented.

"Karen seems like such a cool girl. Like a female who plays drums is always a shocker to me," I said.

"Women like to break the normal things people think," Derek said.

"True," I said.

"I thought you would have been into some kind of instrument these days," Derek said.

"I mean I kind of like the guitar but it is not something I would make my passion," I said.

"I get it you know. I think Alan has been showing you the guitar huh?" Derek asked.

"Yeah, he has been showing me how to play it a bit. I am not any good at it though," I said with a chuckle.

"Well maybe if you gave it more time you would be," Derek said with a chuckle.

"I get lost sometimes when he is trying to teach me," I said.

"Maybe don't look at his eyes when he is showing you," he said.

"That could be the whole thing. His eyes just pull me into another universe," I said.

"Kind of like a unique universe or like what do you mean?" he asked.

"I don't know it is just I get lost in them. I have never gotten so lost in something before," I said.

"Oh, I know. I have been here quite a while in your life and never seen you so lost," Derek said.

"Well I am not lost if I am not looking in his eyes," I said.

"Like I said try focusing on something else on his face," Derek said.

"Well if I focus on his lips I am going to be liable to kiss him," I said with a chuckle.

"Okayy, so maybe not his lips or his eyes but maybe it could be a nose focus," Derek said.

"That could work but I would feel bad if I don't look like I am fully emerged in the conversation," I said.

"It is Alan he is going to know you are trying to focus. I think by now he knows how you get lost in the way he looks at you," Derek said.

"Mmm, true," I said.

"He looks at you with so much love his eyes and in his heart. Like you two are meant to be like in all truth," Derek said.

I smiled.

"Well it is true you know. I know my brother and I know you and the two of you together just make so much sense," Derek said.

"I knoww," I said.

"I feel like when he gets here you should be honest about when he shows you the highs and lows about the guitar," he said.

"I will. And I know he is going to be understanding," I said with a chuckle.

"I think it is quite nice to be able to have him teaching you how to do guitar. I know you could not pick up on the drums but this is something possible," Derek said.

"I still think it is funny how bad I was when it came to doing the drums," I said with a chuckle.

"You didn't do bad at all just you were not focused the times you did it," Derek said.

"I don't know I just never saw myself as someone who could do what you do," I said.

A knock was heard upon the door. We had been hanging out for some time now.

"Must be Alan," Derek said as he went to open the door.

"Who else could it be," I said with a chuckle.

"Hi my darling," Alan said as he walked in.

I walked over to him and hugged him tightly.

"Hi my baby, how was work?" I asked looking at him.

"It was good," he said with a smile.

"That is good," I said.

He kissed me softly.

"Yeah," he said.

"Ugh you two," Derek said with a chuckle.

"Oh be quiet," Alan said with a chuckle.

I chuckled.
