Y/N's POV
It was now the month of June. This is the month of Alan's birthday so we would be celebrating throughout the month. I always think celebrating the month of birthdays is one of the most fun things you can do. He is kind of busy this month but I am going to be working around his busy schedule and of course mine as well.
"Are you really planning on doing different things every single day this month?" Derek asked as he looked at me.
"Yeah, I am hoping to be able to make him feel special this month," I said with a bit of a smile.
"He is taking quite long to get ready huh?" Derek asked with a chuckle.
"Yeah, but I mean he has been busy," I said.
"I know but so have you and here you are being ready," Derek said.
"I mean yeah but like I am the one who set up all of these things," I said.
"You are such a good wife to him you know that?" Derek said.
"I hope I am. Sometimes I do question if I am good enough," I said.
Soon Alan came into the room and kissed my cheek.
"Hi baby," Alan said.
"Hi my love. Are you ready to head out?" I asked.
"Yeah, I am ready. Where are we going anyways?" Alan asked.
"We are going to Sheep Heid Inn Edinburgh," I said.
"Ooo what is that?" Derek asked.
"It is a cute little restaurant," I said.
"So you guys are going to be gone and eating then come back?" Derek asked.
"Yes, that is the plan. We will see you guys later," I said with a smile.
Alan grabbed my hand and I looked at him and smiled. I held his hand and we went off to the car.
"I think it is nice we are going out to eat," Alan said with a smile.
We soon got in the car.
"Me too. I am excited and I am excited to do little things to celebrate you all month," I said with a smile.
"Because you are doing all of these little things - is there going to be like a big thing?" Alan asked.
"That is something I am not going to be telling you," I said with a giggle.
"Well fine," he replied.
I pecked his lips and then began the drive to the restaurant.
"I think this is a nice drive," Alan said as he looked out the window.
"It truly is," I said.
"That is something so special about our hometown. There is something so truly beautiful about it," he said.
"I agree my love," I said.
We continued our drive and eventually arrived.
"This place is kind of like fancy. Do you think I dressed well enough?" he asked.
"It is kind of fancy but casual so you are fine my love," I said as I looked over at him.
I had parked the car.
"You know you are always way too good to me," Alan said as he looked back at me.
"And sometimes I feel like I do not do enough for you," I said.
"Who else goes all out for someone like me? There is not many people in the world who would do that," he said.
"I would do anything for you my love," I said.
"Me too baby," he said.
We soon got out of the car and headed on inside. We got seated.
"You said it was not too fancy in here," Alan said in a whisper to me.
"It's not. Do you see anyone dressed up in dresses?" I asked.
"Well no but they do all look like they are in quite nice clothes," Alan said.
"Do you want to go out shopping after this?" I asked.
"What does that have to do anything with what I just asked?" he asked with a chuckle.
"I think maybe you would want to get a new outfit," I said.
"I mean shopping is nice so maybe but we can talk about that after we get out of here," he said.
"We are going to be here for quite a bit. But it is whatever you want to do and I am going to be paying so," I said.
"You are not going to be paying for everything. You know how much it could cost for some items?" he asked.
"I don't care how much anything costs my love. If something makes you happy and you would like it then you are going to get it," I said.
"I know one of your love languages is through gifts but do not go overboard," he said with a bit of a smile.
"Mmm, I will try not to but you know how it goes with me," I said.
"That is kind of the whole reason I said what I said," he said.
We both were looking over the menu and soon put in our orders.
"I think it is nice to be able to spoil you. Birthdays and birthdays months are one of my favorite things for that reason," I said.
"But buying me everything is not the answer baby," he said.
"Well I am sorry but if there is something else you would like then let me know," I said.
"If I think of something I want then I will let you know my baby," he said.
We looked at each other.
"I love you so much," I said.
"I love you so much too," he said.
"Do you think we should get a dessert item too?" I asked.
"If you think we should then I think we should," he replied.
"I mean you can't go wrong with a sweet at this time of day," I said.
"True," he replied.
"You know I got so lucky with you," I said as I looked him in the eyes.
"And you are one of the biggest blessings in my life," he said as he looked back into my eyes.
"I don't know how god was just like here is your soulmate," I said.
"I know and you are my soulmate," he said.
"I think soulmates are some of the most special people in our lives. I know people say not every single one is a romantic one but this is one of those," I said.
"You are the one who made me believe they were possible," he said.
"I am so grateful to have you in my life and I never want to lose you," I said.
"I never want to lose you either my love," he said.
"You will never lose me my baby," I said.
Alan leaned over and kissed me. I returned the kiss and smiled.
