Y/N's POV
Today was the day Alan was quitting his job as a plumber and Derek was quitting his job as well. The boy's career was taking off but of course, I still remained as an editor. However, I would be becoming a traveling editor. I was so beyond proud of the boys for how far they have come in this career. From starting out as baby singers and now how far they are.
"I am kind of nervous to be quitting this job. It is kind of weird to me," Alan said.
"Yeah, it is kind of weird to be quitting these jobs we have had for quite some time," Derek said.
"I think it is cool you guys get to move onto something more in your passion line though," I said.
"Oh, of course, but you know having had these for so long going to quit now it is kind of out of the blue," Alan said.
"Well we have to be heading out to do so now," Derek said.
"Are you coming with me my love?" Alan asked as he looked at me.
"Yeah, I can come with you," I said.
"Eric is coming with me to quit my job since he volunteered," Derek said.
"Oh that is fun," I said with a smile.
"Yeah," Derek said.
"Are you going to be picking him up on the way to work?" Alan asked.
"Yes, he is going to be ready in a few minutes so I am going to be going out now," Derek said as he grabbed his keys.
"Okay, you have fun," Alan said.
"Of course and you too," Derek said.
"Always," Alan said with a chuckle.
Derek headed out of the house and soon me and Alan were heading out of the house.
"I am kind of nervous," Alan said as he drove to work.
"I know you are nervous but it is going to be okay. You are moving on to bigger and better things now," I said with a smile.
"I think it is nice how supportive you are of me," Alan said.
"I am always going to be so supportive of you my love," I said.
Alan soon parked at work and looked at the building.
"Are you going to come in with me or not?" Alan asked.
"I am going to wait in the car for you. You have got this," I said as I kissed his cheek.
"I knowww," Alan said as he looked at me.
"You got this," I said.
Alan got out of the car and headed inside of the building to quit his job.
I stayed back in the car and waited for him to return. Soon enough he was coming back and I unlocked the car.
"I am back," Alan said.
"How did it go?" I asked.
"Oh it went quite smooth," Alan said.
"That is good so are you officially done with this job?" I asked.
"Yup and they gave me my last paycheck and it is not too bad tbh," Alan said.
He handed me his paycheck.
"Oh nice that is pretty good," I said with a smile.
"So to the bank," he said.
"Alright my love," I said.
We pulled out and soon headed to the bank and cashed the check and we were heading home.
We reached the house.
"I think this is a lot of fun to be able to be kind of free," Alan said.
We walked inside of the house.
"Hey guys," Derek said.
"Hey hey," Alan said.
"How did it go for you?" Derek asked as he sat up on the couch.
"It went good and a lot more quick than I thought it was going to be," Alan said.
"For us it went quick too Derek was in and out of the place," Eric said.
"That is always good," I said.
"Did you get your last check while you was there?" Alan asked.
"Yes, did you?" Derek asked.
"Yeah, we got it and cashed it already," Alan said.
"Same, I feel like the bank was quite busy for the day it is," Derek said.
"True but it did not take too long," Alan said.
"What are you guys planning to do for the next bit of time?" Eric asked.
"I don't know yet but trying to relax and I realize I am not working "two" jobs no more," Alan said.
"Good point because we kind of were working "two" jobs if you do think about it," Derek said.
"Well we had no choice money wise," Alan said.
"Now we are doing alright on money which is always a good thing," Derek said.
"Well what time is it?" I asked.
"It is like around 12," Eric said.
"Oh not too bad. We kind of have all day to be doing something," I said.
"Yeah, well what do you guys want to do?" Eric asked.
"I don't know," Alan said as he sat down on the couch.
"Y/N will you go get us some tea from the kitchen?" Derek asked.
"Sure," I said with a smile.
"You are so demanding of her aren't ya," Alan said with a chuckle.
"It is okay I like to be helpful for you guys," I said.
"Are you going to make me some tea too?" Eric asked.
"Sure," I said.
I went into the kitchen and made some tea for everyone.
"What kind of tea are you making?" Eric asked.
"I don't know it is whatever is here," I said.
"Okay then," Eric said.
I soon made the tea and brought them into the living room for the boys.
"Here you guys go," I said.
"Did you make some for yourself? I hope you did," Alan said looking at me.
"Yeah, I just have to go get mine from the kitchen," I said.
"Okay you do that," Derek said.
I went back into the kitchen and grabbed my tea. I soon came back to the kitchen and sat down on the couch with the boys.
"You are the only girl in this group of men right now," Eric said with a chuckle.
"I don't know why so many people find it funny that I am the only girl vs all of the guys," I said.
"I just think it is interesting how there is not any other girl around," Eric said.
"Well it is not like any of the other guys have girlfriends like I do," Alan said.
"Mmm good point and I do not think they want one right now either," Eric said.
"I know right now I am good being single," Derek said with a chuckle.
