Y/N's POV

Today was a day me, Derek, and Alan are going to be hanging out. The other boys had plans to do other things so we made plans to go do some fun stuff. We all had some time off and were excited to enjoy some time together.

"I am excited to be hanging out with you guys," I said looking at Alan and Derek.

"I am excited to be doing something with you guys again. I know I have been quite busy these last weeks but you know as a solo artist it becomes a little busy," Alan said.

"I know how it goes. Even being in the group still is quite busy but everything is kind of all over the place right now," Derek said with a chuckle.

"And how is my girl doing?" Alan asked a he looked at me.

"I am still doing alright you know. I am busy with school and work so this is going to be nice for us you know," I said.

"What are we even going to be doing?" Derek asked.

"I was thinking since Y/N likes to go shopping we could maybe go to the mall. Or since we all love to go fishing we could do that. I mean I don't know how the water could be since it is almost November though," Alan said.

"It could be good but I don't know how good it could be for that," Derek said.

"Hm," I said.

"Or we could go to the mall and then pick up some foods from the grocery store on the way back. I heard there is not supposed to be no rain we could pop out the grill," Alan said.

"I think that could be a good idea," Derek said.

"What do you think Y/N?" Alan asked as he looked at me.

"Sounds like a fun idea. But always know we don't have to do the things I want to do," I said.

"Well we know and you did not even say you wanted to go to the mall so it kind of just works," Alan said.

"I could use a couple of new shirts though," Derek said.

"I feel like we buy clothes often but never too often. Cause then we go months without buying new clothes," Alan said with a chuckle.

"I suppose I could use a new pair of sneakers," I said.

"I think you should get a new pair. You deserve nice things Y/N," Derek said.

"So then should we head out now?" Alan asked.

"I think so," I said.

"Okay," Alan said as he got the keys for the car.

"I will sit in the back," I said.

We headed out the front door and got in the car. Soon we headed off to the mall.

"I am excited to look for a couple of new clothes," Derek said.

"Me too," Alan said.

"I always think about how life could be in the future. Like imagine many many years from now and how different all of these things could be at some point," I said.

"Like at the mall or?" Alan asked.

"Yeah, but also like in general. I think life is going to be so different and not just in the ways most people say but like in all of the small ways too," I said.

"Do you think they will come up with a machine to cook food nicer than a microwave?" Derek asked.

"An oven exists," Alan said with a chuckle.

"No, but like in other ways," Derek said.

"I don't know but maybe. And maybe like when it comes to phones those could be different too," I said.

"Man you think far into the future," Derek said.

"I don't know I just think a lot," I said.

"And we are here," Alan said as he parked.

"Goodie," I said as I got out of the car.

The boys got out of the car as well.

"Do we know what shops we are going to be going into first?" I asked.

"Nope, no clue but I think if we go in and just walk into a couple of shops we could find some nice things," Alan said.

"Works for me," Derek said.

I held Alan's hand and Derek led the way.

"I think this is kind of like I am your guys child at times," Derek said with a chuckle.

"Well maybe but then again you and Y/N are the same age so like," Alan said with a chuckle.

"Mmm, good point," Derek said with a chuckle.

Soon we headed into a store and it was a men's clothes shop so the boys both ended up trying on clothes. I sat down on a bench like thing as they modeled some clothes for me.

Alan walked out of the dressing room.

"Do you think this shirt looks like me?" Alan asked as he stood in front of me.

"I think so. You surely do look good in that color too," I said as I looked at him.

"Then I think I might just have to get it then," Alan said as he returned into the dressing room.

Derek walked out of the dressing room.

"Does this shirt look like me?" Derek asked.

"Turn for me," I said as I looked at him.

He turned.

"I think so. And it looks like it fits well too," I said.

"I do think it fits well too and not too big," Derek said with a chuckle.

Alan popped out again and Derek went back in. They were coming in and out of different dressing rooms.

"Do these pants look like they are too big?" Alan asked as he modeled a pair of jeans for me.

"Mmm, turn around," I said.

He turned around.

"No, they look like they fit well around. And if you are comfortable in them then that is one of the most important things," I said.

"I do really like these," Alan said.

"Then get them my love," I said.

Alan smiled and went back into the dressing room. Some time passed and we were walking out of the store and the boys found some nice things.

"Where to now?" Derek asked.

"Y/N said she wanted a nice pair of shoes right my love?" Alan asked as he looked at me.

"Yeah, I would like some new sneakers," I said with a smile.

"To finding a new shoe store. I think I saw one this way," Derek said as he led us into a shoe store.

Here was to spending some time at the mall with the boys and then heading off to the grocery store to find some things to grill.
