Y/N's POV
Another day of school work was done. I did not have to be at work today which was nice and I would be finishing up this semester's classes so soon. I was headed back home right now I was walking this time. I don't know why I walked because it is cold as heck out right now. I am just thinking about how when I get home I hope Alan is home.
I walked up to the door and opened it and went inside.
"Baby?!" I shouted out.
"In the kitchen my love!" Alan shouted back.
I put my bag down on the couch and went into the kitchen.
"Hi my baby," I said as I looked at him with a bit of a smile.
"You look so tired my love," Alan said as he looked at me.
"I am. Today was kind of a long day with classes and stuff," I said.
"Just think about it though you are one semester closer to your next degree," he said.
"I know. It is worth it and knowing you are here when I get home is the best part of it," I said.
"Come here," Alan said as he opened his arms.
I went and hugged him.
"I love you so much," I said with a bit of a smile.
"I love you too. I also love that I am this much taller than you," he said with a chuckle.
"I know," I said as I looked at him.
"I could only imagine if I was any more taller you would get neck cramps looking at me," he said.
"Mmm true but that is kind of why we are a perfect pair," I said as I pecked his lips.
He smiled.
"Well I hope you want some tea because I made some," he said.
"Oooo yum," I said.
"Why don't you go get comfortable and I will bring the teas up with maybe something sweet to enjoy?" he asked.
"Sounds good my love," I said as I went upstairs.
I took a quick shower and got changed into something more comfortable. Soon Alan was in the bedroom with the teas and what looked like two pieces of cake.
"Did you make a cake?" I asked.
"Well when I got back from the studio I was bored and thought it would be nice to make one so I did," he said.
"It looks so yum," I said.
"I just hope it tastes as good as it looks," he said.
"I know it is going to. Anything you make is always so good," I said.
"You do recall the disasters when we first started dating of the desserts I would make. Don't you?" he asked with a chuckle.
"Well you had been new to baking. Everyone goes through that kind of phase when doing these kinds of things," I said.
"I bet you never went through that kind of phase. I bet every time you would make something it was good," he said.
"Wrong. I made so many random things growing up and some of them would be wrecks," I said with a chuckle.
"Really?" he asked.
I nodded as I sat down on the bed.
"Well it is quite nice to think about how it is not just me," he said.
"And I am sure the rest of the world has also done those kinds of things," I said.
He pecked my lips and smiled.
"I think it is nice to enjoy the winter evenings like this. Well maybe not officially winter yet but you know what I mean," he said.
"I think winter does unofficially begin on the first of December but then again not every single person would agree with me," I said.
"For us it is kind of like that though," he said.
"Well why don't we try the cake you made?" I asked as I took a sip of the tea.
"Fineee," he said with a chuckle.
We tried the cake and it was delicious.
"This is one of the reasons I love the holidays so much. We can come up with random recipes like this to enjoy," I said.
"So you do like it? I don't know why I thought you would not like it," he said.
"You thought I was not going to like this?" I asked.
"Yeah, it was kind of one of the first thoughts I had. I mean I did not make a big cake," he said.
"Well we can make other things too throughout the month," I said.
"Together," he said.
"Yeah. My classes will be done so soon so it is going to be nice to not be thinking of school for a bit of time. But it is going to be work brain again for a while so," I said.
"Can't win with you?" he asked.
"Nope," I said with a chuckle.
"Well do you want to see if there is anything on the tv that could be interesting?" he asked.
"Why not," I said.
"And then if you want to we can read something in a little bit," he said.
"Works for me," I said.
He turned on the tv and he began to flip the channels.
"I wonder what the guys might be up to right now," Alan said as he laid down on his stomach facing the tv flipping the channels.
"I don't know to be honest," I said as I leaned against the headboard.
"I think it is nice to know this is what we are doing though," he said.
"Mmm, me too," I said.
Soon he found something for us to watch and left it on the station. We were enjoying our tea and cake.
"I do think it is kind of weird the guys are not going to be here most of the month though. I know we did talk about this the other day but you know it is one of those things I think about. Because you know it is Derek," he said.
"I know and you and him have been together most of the time for the month of December," I said.
"Yeah, every single year. I think it is nice to be able to spend time with the brother but I am so glad I am able to spend time with you now," he said.
"I just think about how many years we have been together you know," I said.
"We have been together quite a bit of time," he said.
"Oh yeah," I said as I looked at the tv.
"Some of my favorite times," he said.
"Mine too," I said.
Another day with my love.
