Y/N's POV

A few days went by and I had secured a job. This job was as a traveling journalist. This meant I could travel to the places I wanted to and craft articles about these places. So really instead of being an editor, I got a job as a journalist. I think this is where I always wanted to end up in the first place.

"I think it is nice since we have a tour coming up you are going to be able to come with us," Alan said with a smile.

"I am so excited to be able to write articles," I said.

"I find it interesting how you finally got a job as a journalist. I know you always have wanted to be one but you never did apply to the right jobs," Derek said.

"Well I thought being an editor was the thing that was meant for me. And since I was there for so long it kind of felt like I was supposed to do that," I said.

"How did you even get this new job?" Eric asked.

"Well you know I did apply to a couple of jobs and this is the one I ended up getting. I am so glad I did get this one," I said with a smile.

"Well tour does begin soon so you are going to have a lot of fun coming with us to the new places to explore," Alan said.

"Oh for sure. I know there is a lot of places I have never been or seen that I am going to be able to write about," I said.

"I find the jobs you get to always be so interesting. Like how did you even get a degree in English?" Les asked.

"Well I went to college so that is kind of how. I mean I do not know how I settled on going to college for an English degree besides loving English," I said.

"I think you are the smartest person we know if I am being honest with you," Woody said.

"Oh she is for sure the smartest person we know," Les said.

"How did you become so smart?" Eric asked as he looked at me.

"I am not in the mood for these silly questions. I am not so smart but it is fun to think about," I said with a chuckle.

I sat down on the kitchen counter.

"Are you guys hungry?" Les asked as he pulled out a pan and put it on the stove.

"Yes, you know us we are always hungry," Woody said.

We were all in the kitchen.

"What do you guys want to eat?" Eric asked.

"I think we could just do eggs and sausages like a breakfast for lunch kind of deal. I think after this we should go out to the farm Alan and Y/N have," Les said.

"Sounds like a good plan," Eric said.

We all cracked a bunch of eggs into the pan and Les cooked them.

"I think eggs is always one of the most simple things to make," Woody said.

"Of course it is," Eric said as he got the sausages and began to cook them.

"Are you guys just going to sit and watch us cook the food?" Les asked.

"Yes, that is the plan. I am going to remain sitting on the counter," I said with a chuckle.

"Why do you always sit on the counter?" Derek asked.

"Because I think it is fun to sit on the counter than to be standing around," I said.

"Ah, alright then," Woody said with a chuckle.

Alan sat next to me on the counter.

"You know we have chairs over there at the table, right?" Eric commented.

"Mmm yes but this is much more fun," Alan said as he looked at me.

"Well how long until the food is done?" Woody asked.

"A couple of minutes so just hold on," Les said with a chuckle.

Soon enough the food the boys were cooking was done and we sat down to eat.

"We are going to be going out to the farm later?" Eric asked.

"Yes, we have not been in a couple of days so it is going to be good. We also need to find someone who is going to take care of the farm while we are away," Alan said.

"I think we should be able to have our parents take care of the farm for us," I said.

"I do not know if my parents would do that," Alan said.

"I think mom and dad might be willing to take care of the farm for us. I mean they love the animals and have been so kind with them," Derek said.

"Then I think we are going to call them up a little bit later. If not I know your parents should be good to do so," Alan said.

"I think so too but we could ask both of them," I said.

"Well we will find out who is more willing to do this for us. I know we don't leave for some time but it is going to be nice to have everything in order," Alan said.

"You guys owning a farm is quite the thing. I think it is nice how you take care of animals but it is kind of a big thing you guys do," Eric said.

"Well when you put so much time and effort into something it kind of brings out the best inside of you," I said.

"I think that is one thing that has always been true with Y/N since the day I met her. She always has taken good care of animals which means she takes care of humans just as nice," Derek said.

"Well she does not take care of humans like animals but I do get where you are coming from," Alan said with a chuckle.

"I take care of animals and humans both well I promise. I am not out here treating humans like animals to care for them," I said with a chuckle.

"Well Alan could be a cute little puppy you take care of. I mean you never know," Derek said.

"Oh I am sure I know," I said with a chuckle.

"Just call me puppy dog eyes," Alan said looking at me.

"Okay, puppy dog eyes," I said with a bit of a chuckle.
