Chapter 113

Okay so this is going to be the last chapter for this book <3 I have had so much fun writing this book! It ended up going for many more years than I thought it was since it started in 1972 and ended here in January of 1979. I will have other books coming out that I am working on. 

- January 25th 1979 -

Y/N's POV

It was weird to think it would soon be February. Woody's birthday would be coming up and so would Derek's birthday. We had a lot of fun things to plan out for the year and for all of the birthdays coming up. We also had a lot of work when it came to doing music and shows. I had been working on quite a few different things. 

"I think it is nice to think about how fun this year is going to be. We have a lot of things we are going to be working on this year," Alan said.

"And this is one of the first year's I get to really work with you. It is nice being able to have a different kind of way of life this year. I am able to start it the way I want it to be," I said.

"I know. I think it is nice you are happy in the job you have and we are able to spend so much more time with one another," he replied with a smile.

"I know. It is going to be an amazing year," I said with a bit of a smile.

"I also think it is wild to think about how many shows I am going to be doing this year. I have a lot of things to be thinking about. I know my next album is going to be in the works whether it comes out this year or next I do not know," he said.

"I think it is crazy how much music you have been putting out. I also think it is cool what the boys have been working on you know?" I said.

"I know. They are proud of how the craft is developing and changing as the time goes on," he replied.

"I do think as time goes on people learn how to grow in life. Whether it be in everyday life or in music like you and the boys do," I said.

"I also think it is nice how close you and the boys have gotten lately. It is kind of like they are your brothers now. I know you and Derek have always been close but you know," he said.

"I know. It is kind of like since I am a changed person now with this new degree I understand more. I don't know if it is true but I do know it challenges who I was," I said.

"I think that is the whole thing about life. You get challenged each day and get to work it out the way it comes," he replied.

"I guess that is true. I mean going to school has made me feel like such a different person. I went to school a bit of time ago and now I have so much in my mind," I said.

"I can imagine how much your mind would have absorbed. You have been to school for quite a bit of things now and you seem tired from it too," he said.

"I do not think I am too tired anymore. I think I did recover from all of the courses I took in such a short period of time. I know my first degree was more for me than anything but this second one was for my happiness," I said.

Soon the door opened and all of the boys walked in.

"Oh hey guys. I did not know you were going to be coming over today," Alan said as he looked at the door.

"Hey guys," I said with a bit of a smile.

"Hey guys," Eric said.

"Long time no see," Les said with a chuckle.

"Oh for sure," Alan said.

We all gave hugs.

"So what did you guys have planned for the day?" Alan asked.

"Why do you think we have something planned? Can't we just come by and see how you guys are doing," Derek said.

"Well yes but then again we know you guys better," Alan said.

"Mmm true. Well we wanted to go into the studio with you guys and work on a song," Eric said.

"We thought we would get you guys on a song with us. We thought it would be kind of different but you might be interested?" Woody commented.

I looked at Alan.

"Well I am still working on my own music but I do not see how it could be bad. I think it would be cool for us to do that," Alan said.

"I don't know if I am any good at singing though. You guys have heard me," I said.

"Please. We think it would be fun and you would be good on the track. Even I am going to be on it," Derek said as he looked at me.

I looked at Derek.

"Alright then if you are going to do it then I guess I will," I said.

"Goodie," Eric said.

"So this is going to be something for the upcoming album. We thought if we could have you guys on the track it would give us a new feel to the band," Les said.

"Yeah. And we have the perfect song if you guys would like to look over the lyrics before we go in," Woody said as he handed me a paper.

Alan and me skimmed over the lines.

"Oh this is such a cute song," Alan said as he read the lyrics along with me.

"I think it is a cute song too," I said.

"So you guys think it is going to be a good song for us to do this with?" Eric asked.

"Yes," I said.

"I think this is going to be different for us but this is going to be a good new for us," Derek said.

"I am surprised but very happy you are going to be on a new track," Alan said as he looked at Derek.

"I know it is kind of hard to get me on one of them but you know how it goes with me," Derek said.

"Yeah," Alan said.

"So off to the studio we go?" Eric asked.

"Sounds good to me," I said.

"Me too," Alan said.

"We are going to have to take two cars I think or did you guys bring the van?" Alan asked.

"Oh we brought the van. We thought it would be a good idea," Derek said.

"So who is going to drive?" Alan asked.

"Me," Les said as he took the keys and headed for the car.

We got our things and followed behind.

"This is kind of like the start to a new chapter if you think about it," Woody said.

"Mmm, true," Alan said.

We got in the van and headed off to the studio.

"Starting a new chapter for the last year of the 1970s. And not following the way other people in music are you know?" Woody commented.

"Yeah," Eric commented.

We were in the studio and getting situated.

"This is going to be amazing," Les said.

Here was to a new chapter with my favorite guys and of course my love.

I know this book was kind of shorter than the other ones I have written. But thank you guys so much for being apart of this book journey. I had a lot of fun with this one when it came to jumping around in the years. It ended up being about 8 years in this one. More books always coming your way!! I LOVE YOU!
