Y/N's POV
I was officially graduated and it felt so good to be free. I was now on the look for a new job which would be fitting into my schedule and career needs. It was quite nice to be able to be in the right career path. Alan told me once this was kind of like when he went from plumbing into the music scene. I suppose it is kind of the same thing right?
"I think it is nice that right now you are in between jobs so you get to spend time with me more," Alan said as he looked at me.
"I know. It is nice to be able to spend time together when it comes to being together during the day. I mean I know we have been at night but it is kind of not the same thing," I said.
"Yeah, that is what I am talking about. There is something so nice about being together during the day and you know all day. Most of the time both of us are tired from work at night so it is kind of different," he replied.
"Are we still planning on going out for lunch?" I asked.
"Of course. This is going to be our first lunch date in quite a bit of time so we should leave in like an hour," he said.
"Sounds like a good plan," I said with a bit of a smile.
"I am excited because my birthday is this month as well. I am kind of glad it is not being made a big deal," he said.
"But it is a big deal. I just don't know why you do not like me making it a big deal. I love being able to celebrate you every single day of the month," I said.
"I think you are. I don't know if there is any kind of way I could stop you from making me the center of attention when it comes to the month of my birthday," he said with a slight chuckle.
"Seeee it is so nice to be able to show you love and appreciation. It is my favorite thing to do which is show you love and support always," I said.
"And you are the most supporting person I think I know in the world. There is more than likely nobody more supportive of me than you but of course Derek is in the line but you know," he said.
"Yeah, it is quite interesting to think about. I am also excited because soon we get to plan out your tours," I said.
"I know me too. And you get to be with me on these tours and it is not me going away time after time," he said.
"So maybe the job I get is going to be somehow in the same kind of field as that? I think now a photographer would be an interesting job too," I said.
"I don't think this is the time for you to change your mind again. You just studied your booty off for this one," he replied.
"I know. I am not going to be changing my mind in the way I am thinking but you know I am just thinking about life," I said.
"Yeah, that makes sense," he said.
The front door flew open and it was Eric walking in.
"Oh hey Eric. How is it going?" Alan asked as he looked at Eric.
"Well I was just coming by to see if you guys wanted to go out for lunch with me and the boys," Eric said.
"We would love to but we have plans for our own little lunch date," Alan said as he looked at Eric and then me.
"Oh, that is okay. Maybe we could do it some other time. We just want to spend more time with you guys now Y/N is not in work right now," Eric said.
"Maybe we could plan something out for tomorrow? I think horse back riding with you and the guys would be something nice for us to do," I said as I looked at Eric.
"Oh that sounds like a nice plan. What time would you guys want to go out riding?" Eric asked.
"Maybe 10 or 11 would be a good time. We will call and verify with you guys for the time," I said.
"Alright then. That sounds like a good plan and we are going to have so much fun," Eric said.
"I think so too. The horseys have been having a good time and also the dogs," Alan said.
"I do sometimes forget you guys have dogs," Eric said with a bit of a chuckle.
"Well yeah that is kind of one of the whole reasons we have a farm. We are able to have all kinds of animals and raise them like our kids," Alan said.
"Speaking of kids when are you guys going to plan on maybe having some kids? I would like to be an uncle well some type of uncle you know," Eric said.
"When the time is right is when that will happen," Alan said.
"Somehow you guys have your heads on your shoulders but I do think it is quite a good thing," Eric said.
"Yeah. We like to have our careers to be successful so the babies can grow up in a nice space and not one that is not consistent," I said.
"Ohh so you guys have thought this out before?" Eric asked.
"Yeah, we have talked about it a couple of times," Alan said.
"Interesting.. I will let you guys go for now. It was nice seeing you guys today and we will see you guys again tomorrow. Do not forget to call us and verify the time you want us to come," Eric said.
"We will make sure to let you know," I said with a chuckle.
"Alright byee," Eric said as he left.
"Bye," Alan replied.
"I think it is interesting how the boys will just burst in the door like that," I said with a chuckle.
"I know but at this point it is normal," Alan said with a bit of a chuckle.
Some more time had gone by.
"Well I think we should head out now if we are going to make our reservation?" Alan asked as he got off the couch.
I got up and looked at him.
"Sounds good to me," I said.
"Wait," he said.
"What?" I asked.
He kissed me and I returned the kiss.
"Alright now we can go," Alan said as he took my hand.
I held his hand and we headed out the door to enjoy a lunch date together.
