Chapter 59

- May 6th 1976 -

Y/N's POV

I had planned out a surprise date with Alan today. I was excited because I liked to plan out dates but sometimes we both would be so busy it was kind of hard to do so. I think it is nice when we do have time to go on dates though. Like today I have planned out for us to go out to a nice restaurant and then after I thought we could go see a movie at a drive-in theater.

"What are you thinking about right now?" Derek asked as he looked at me.

"Well I am waiting for Alan to get home so we can go out and have a nice evening," I said.

"What are you planning out?" Derek asked.

"Well I have a dinner reservation at 6 and then a movie at a drive in begins at 8:00. I know the two times are kind of far apart but I did not get to pick the time the movie began," I said.

"Aww, I think he is going to love that. Tomorrow do you want to hang out with me?" Derek asked.

"I would love to. We have not hung out just the two of us in a bit of time," I said.

"And the rest of the boys are going to be going off doing whatever they will," Derek said.

"Sounds like a plan," I said.

"And I do not know how soon Alan is going to be home but it is okay," Derek said.

"He should be home any minute," I said.

The door then opened and it was Alan.

"Hi my love," I said as I turned to look at the door.

"Hey my baby and hey Derek," Alan said.

"Hey," Derek said.

"You look tired," I said.

"I am. It was kind of a long day," Alan said with a bit of a nervous chuckle.

"Well you are going to love Y/N's plans," Derek said as he left the room.

Alan put his stuff down and came over to me.

"What are the plans you have for us?" Alan asked.

"Well I made a dinner reservation for 6 and then we have a drive in movie we can go to at 8." I said.

"I think that is going to be so much fun," he said with a bit of a smile.

"I am glad you think so," I said as I smiled a little.

"We don't do those things too often anymore. What time is it now?" Alan asked.

"It is 4," I said as I looked at the clock.

"So we have like two hours until we have to be at the dinner?" Alan asked.

"Yeah," I said.

"Then I am going to go get a shower so I smell and look good," Alan said with a chuckle.

"Alright my love," I said.

He kissed me and I returned the kiss. He then left the living room and off to the bedroom. Derek came back into the living room.

"So is he excited about the plans you have made for the two of you?" Derek asked.

"Yes, he seems to be happy about the plans. His face did kind of light up so I am taking it as a good sign," I said.

"You know he does not light up often unless it is something from you or something you did," Derek said.

"I think it is nice to be able to make him happy and or smile," I said.

"Well what is he doing now?" Derek asked.

"He is taking a shower and freshening up from his long day," I said.

"Oh that sounds nice," Derek said as he sat down on the couch.

"So we have to wait until 6," I said.

"So that gives Alan some time to be able to feel ready," Derek said.

"Well of course. I am not going to rush him out the door as soon as he got out of the studio," I said.

"Makes sense," Derek said.

Soon Alan came into the living room after a bit of time.

"Hey Alan," Derek said as he looked at Alan.

"Hey baby," I said as I looked at him.

"You look nice," Derek said.

"Thank you I tried to look nice," Alan said with a chuckle.

"I think it is nice you two are going out and having some romantic time," Derek said.

"We don't get out like this often so it is quite nice to be able to do so," Alan said with a smile.

"I am excited to be able to do this," I said.

"I am so happy you came up with the idea," Alan said.

"Me too," I said.

"I think it is nice," Derek said.

"Where are the rest of the guys anyways Derek?" I asked as I looked at Derek.

"Oh I think they are out eating or something but I have no idea," Derek said.

"Ah, alright then," Alan said.

"So are you going to be chilling here?" I asked.

"Yeah, it is going to be nice for me to chill by myself for a bit of time. Then again I have no idea if the boys are going to be here before I am alone," Derek said.

"I am sure the guys are going to be back before you are alone," Alan said.

"Yeah, because I remembered you guys are not going to be going out at 6," Derek said.

"Yeah, we will leave here at 5:30," I said.

"Sounds good. Are you going to drive or am I going to?" Alan asked.

"Whichever one of us you want to drive," I said.

"I think I should," Alan said with a bit of a smile.

"Sounds good then my love," I said.

"I think it is nice of you to let him drive," Derek said as he looked at me.

"I like when he does," I said.

"He is a better driver than you after all," Derek said.

"Hey," I said.

"She is a good driver don't doubt her," Alan said.

"Have you been in a car with her?" Derek asked.

"I have and multiple times. She is a good driver," Alan said.

"I think I am a good driver but maybe I am not," I said.

"I think you are my love," Alan said.

"Are you guys going to keep talking?" Derek asked.

"There is nothing else for us to do right now unless we sit in silence," Alan said with a chuckle.

"Well," I said.

To a night out with my love that was all planned out.
