Y/N's POV
Another day another dollar. Isn't that way they say? It was currently 3 in the afternoon and I was home from work. The boys would be coming home soon so right now it was just me. Alan was in the studio and the boys had joined him to see how his work was going.
I got together some food so we could have kind of an early dinner but late lunch. I was making some chicken on the stove and a salad to go along with it. I was dancing around the kitchen to a record I had put on the radio.
Some time would pass and soon the front door would open. I finished up the meal I was cooking.
"Anyone home?!" Eric shouted out.
"I am in the kitchen boys!" I shouted back.
Soon I turned around and all the boys were standing in front of me.
"Hey my love," Alan said as he smiled at me.
"Hi baby," I said as I smiled a little.
"What are you making in here?" Les asked as he looked around.
"I made chicken and salad," I said.
"Ooo sounds good. Isn't is kind of early to be eating dinner though?" Woody asked.
"Well - yes but I assumed it would be okay since none of us have had lunch," I said.
"Mmm good point," Alan said.
"I think it is nice how you make us food," Eric said.
"Well we all take turns when it comes to making food," I said.
"Well when do you guys want to eat?" Derek asked.
"You have been quiet," Alan said as he looked at Derek.
"Well we have not been home for long," Derek said with a chuckle.
"Well we should all get comfortable and then we can get to eating," Alan said.
The boys all went upstairs to their bedrooms and Alan stayed and looked at me for a second.
"Yes, my love?" I asked as I looked back at him.
"I love you," Alan said with a bit of a smile.
"I love you too baby," I said as I softly kissed his lips.
He returned the kiss and smiled. He went and got changed. The rest of the boys returned to the kitchen.
"We need plates out?" Les asked.
"Oh yeah," I said.
Les got out the plates and Derek poured everyone a drink of their choice.
We sat down and enjoyed a meal as a group as we usually do.
"It is going to be kind of weird when we are out on tour again and this is not the normal," Les said.
"Well it is not going to be normal soon once me and Y/N move out either," Alan said.
"That is not going to be for a bit of time though you know?" Les commented.
"Well true but it is interesting to think about it. I am also kind of glad you guys chose not to rent a house," Derek said.
"It is kind of more logical this way though because we won't be home for most of the time anyways," Eric said.
"Oh how is Ian doing?" Alan asked.
"He is doing good and he is loving the feel of the group," Eric said.
"I am glad he is doing good and having fun in the group," Alan said.
"Yeah, us too," Eric said.
"I think it is interesting learning the way of the group now he is in it," Derek said.
"It has been a bit of time he has been in it so," Les said.
"And we are working on an album with him in it which is nice too. He is going to do some lead vocals on one of the songs," Derek said.
"We cannot discuss what it is going to be but you know how it goes," Les said.
Soon we finished our meal and cleaned up the kitchen. We all headed into the living room and put on a movie for us to watch. The boys all got settled into the chairs in the living room.
"I will be right back," I said as I pecked Alan's lips.
He smiled and I walked upstairs into our bedroom. I got changed into something more comfortable.
"Man this is my life," I thought to myself.
Soon I headed back to the living room and laid down with Alan on the couch.
"What did you go do?" Eric asked.
"I got comfortable," I said.
"Ah," Woody said.
I cuddled up with Alan on the couch and looked at the tv.
"You didn't miss much by the way on the movie," Les said.
"Oh good," I said.
Alan wrapped his arms around me and kissed my head. I smiled.
"Some day I will have something like you guys have," Derek said as he looked at me and Alan.
"You thinking about it?" Alan asked as he looked at Derek.
"Yeah, I am thinking about how special the bond you two have is," Derek said.
"It is all thanks to you for being friends with Y/N," Alan said with a chuckle.
"Mmm, true," Derek said with a chuckle.
"Guys shh the movie is on and it is getting interesting," Woody said.
"You do not have to be so rude," I said.
"Well they are not talking quiet," Woody said.
"It is not like we are in a movie theater," Les said with a chuckle.
"I am just saying okayy," Woody said.
I closed my eyes.
"I think it is interesting how involved you get in movies," Eric said as he looked at Woody.
"You know how much I love movies," Woody said.
"Well I know but have you not seen this one before?" Eric asked.
"We have seen it but it is nice to see from a new eye," Woody said.
"Just leave him alone," Alan said with a chuckle.
"I am interested in the way he thinks," Eric said.
"We write together a lot how could you not know how I think?" Woody asked.
"Well true but this is a whole different situation. This is like movie knowledgeable and not like songwriting," Eric said.
I eventually dozed off but I could hear conversations going on.
"You know I am so lucky," Alan whispered to me.
"You know she is asleep right?" Derek asked he looked over at Alan.
"I know but I am so lucky to have her in my life. We have been through so much together in the last few years," Alan said.
"Well true you guys have been through a lot of things in life," Derek said.
"I think she is the most special person," Alan said as he kissed my head.
I smiled a little.
"I think she is awake but not awake," Eric said as he looked over.
"Mmm, maybe," Alan said as he laid his head on mine.
To another evening with the boys.
