Y/N's POV

A day off was always one of my favorite things as it was everyone's. Alan and me were out in the park right now laying down on a blanket watching the clouds go by. It was so peaceful being able to spend time with him and not have any worries happening at the moment.

Alan's head was resting on my chest as I wrapped my arms around him.

"You know spending time like this with you is my favorite thing to do. I never realized how amazing something so simple could be," Alan said with a bit of a smile.

"Anything small with you is so special to me," I said as I kissed the top of his head.

"Do you ever think about all of the things we have done over the last couple of years?" he asked.

"Oh, of course. We have been through a lot of things in the time we have been together which has always pulled us closer together," I said.

"You have stuck with me even in the hardest and most random times of my life," he said.

"I would not want to go through life with anyone else. Your ups and downs are the things that hold me so close to you," I said.

"And your ups and downs are the ones that bring us so close together," he replied.

"I love you," I said.

"I love you too and I have a question for you," he said.

"What is your question for me?" I asked.

"Why haven't you left me after all of these years?" he asked.

"Cause you are the only one my heart has ever wanted," I said.

"And you are the only one my heart has ever wanted," he replied.

"How long have we been out here for?" I asked.

"At least an hour I would like to say," he replied.

"Why were you curious about why I have never left you?" I asked.

"I feel like people are known for leaving me all of the time. I just never want to leave you," he said.

"And you will never lose me," I said.

"What do you want to do now?" he asked.

"Well if we are done looking at the clouds we could go out and eat some food," I said.

"I think we could have a cute little date. I know we do not go on dates as often as we should," he said.

"We should start to go on more dates than we do," I said.

We both got off of the ground and we folded up the blanket.

"Where do you want to go?" he asked.

"Any place that has a good meal," I said.

"So like any place?" he asked.

"Yeah, works for me," I said with a bit of a smile.

We held hands and walked back to the car. He opened the door for me.

"Thank you my love," I said as I kissed his cheek and got into the car.

"Anytime baby," he replied as he smiled and shut the door.

Soon he got into the car.

"I think we should just drive and when we see a food place we stop," he said.

"I think that sounds like a fun idea," I said.

"Then shall we?" he asked.

"You are the driver you are the one who is in charge," I said.

So we did just that and ended up at this nice place to enjoy a meal. We walked in and got seated.

"I think it is nice to be able to do this kind of thing every now and then," he said.

"I feel like sometimes we do it because we are bored but other times it is the complete opposite," I said.

"I know but just enjoy it right now and don't question it," he replied with a smile.

I looked at him and smiled a little.

"Why are you smiling at me like that?" I asked.

"Your smile always makes me melt. Always has and it always will," I said.

"And why is that?" he asked.

"I have told you so many times before there is just something about it - and it just brings me so much happiness," I said.

"It is kind of weird how it does that. I never knew it could be possible until a couple of years ago," he said.

"Well what are we thinking about getting?" I asked with a bit of a giggle.

"I don't know yet but I want something good," he said as he looked over the menu.

"Anything seems like it could be good on this menu," I said as I looked at the menu.

Soon we ordered our drinks and our foods.

"I think tomorrow we should spend the day making random meals throughout the day. It sounds random but I feel like it could be a lot of fun," he said.'

"Well cooking is a lot of fun. I think it is even going to be more fun when we have our own house," I said.

"And I think that is another thing we should be thinking more about again," he said.

"Well renting the house is going to be a lot of fun but the building of the other one is going to be nice too," I said.

"It is going to be out forever home," he said with a bit of a smile.

"You think about forever with me?" I asked.

"I always have even before we got together. I just knew it would always be you," he said.

"I still think it is kind of weird how it took so long for us to become a couple," I said.

"Well now we are married so we have nothing to worry about," he replied with a bit of a smile.

"Mmm true some of the most amazing times in our lives now," I said.

"Figuring out who we are as people and who we are as a couple is one of my favorite things we get to do," he said.

"Me too. I am excited about learning who we are," I said.

"It is going to bring us even closer together than we ever have been before," he said.

"I know and that is another thing about the whole thing which is beyond exciting for me," I said.

"Well do you think the food is going to be as good as it seems?" he asked.

"Yeah, I think so," I said.

"Well we get to be the ones who are judging it," he said.

"True," I said.

"Well, this is nice," he replied.

"It really is," I said.

Here was to a cute little food date with my love.
