Y/N's POV
It was now the first of 1976. Me and Alan have been married a little less than 2 months which felt amazing. It was weird being married but it also me feel so happy to be with someone who loved me as much as I loved him.
"Babyy," Alan said.
"What my love?" I asked.
"I want to spend the whole day with you and do nothing else," Alan said.
"Okay baby," I said with a bit of a smile.
"It is crazy to think I am no longer going to be a Bay City Roller in a couple of months," Alan said as he sat next to me on the couch.
"I know it is going to be weird," I said.
"But it is going to be mean a lot more time for me and you," he said with a smile.
"What are you going to do once you are out of the group?" I asked.
"Well spend more time with you like I said and maybe go into making some solo music. I might go back to working as a plumber who knows. I am not really thinking about the plumber thing but in case," he said.
"I think it is going to be nice seeing what you do with your time. In between work it is going to be interesting," I said with a smile.
"It is going to be weird though if the boys go on tour and the house is going to be so empty," he said.
"Mmm, true. Where are the guys right now anyways?" I asked.
"I don't know to be honest. I saw them all leave the house this morning but I did not think anything of it," he replied.
"Mmm, okay then. I think it is cool how "Saturday Night" is making its way up on the charts," I said.
"I know it is kind of crazy to think about how it is doing right now on the charts. I think it is cool too though," he said.
"It is quite cool," I said.
Alan laid his head on my leg and looked at me.
"You're so pretty," Alan said with a bit of a smile.
"Oh hush," I said as I began to play with his hair.
"Nope wifey," he said with a chuckle.
"You like saying wifey?" I asked.
"One of my most proud moments," he said.
"Yes hubby," I said with a chuckle.
"See now that is cute when you say it," he said.
"Hm," I said.
"I wonder if Saturday Night is going to make it to number one in the states. It would be cool if it did but do you think it will?" he asked.
"I think it could. It is going up on the charts like crazy right now so it could be there soon," I said.
"It is kind of weird how it is first of the year," he said.
"I know and we still have the Christmas decorations up," I said.
"Maybe we should go and take them down?" he asked.
"At least the tree probably," I said.
"I kind of do not want to get up now though. What would we do then?" he asked.
"Get up when you are then," I said.
"I just hate taking down the holiday decorations," he said.
"I know. It is kind of weird when one holiday ends and the next one is right around the corner," I said.
"Oh true. We have another holiday around the corner which is Valentine's Day. Our first as a married couple," he said with a smile.
"I think it is crazy how many holidays we have spent together. I know it is nice this was our first Christmas as a married couple," I said with a smile.
"Made it that much more special," he said with a smile.
"Being your wife makes me the happiest person alive," I said.
"Same with me being your husband," he said with a smile.
"I hate I have to be back at work in 2 days but it is how it works," I said.
"I know. It is going to suck with you being gone again," he said.
"But if we travel again work will be different again," I said.
"I think it is weird how half of your work is in person and the other half is done here. I think it is cool how it goes though," he said.
"We have been together for almost 4 years," I said with a smile.
"Four years seems so much longer than it is. It kind of feels like we have been together so much longer than just four," he said.
"I know but it is going to be four years," I said.
"And we have been married for almost two months," he said.
"Well we should get up now to get the tree down," I said.
"I suppose so," he replied.
We got up and got the boxes out for the tree and decorations that went along with it.
"I remember when we were putting up this tree," I said.
"I know it wasn't too long ago," he said.
"But here we are taking it down again for another season," I said.
"It will be back up again before we know it," he replied.
"I know but sometimes the time passes so slow and other times it just goes so fast," I said.
"I would not want it to go any other way," he said.
"I know," I said.
"Any time with you is special so I will take all of the time we can get," he said.
"If work did not take up so much of our time it would not be this way," I said.
"But we make it work which is so nice. And our dates nights are some of my favorite," he said.
"Mine too. We always come up with such cute date ideas," I said with a smile.
We took the decorations off of the tree.
"I wonder if the boys will be coming home soon. I wonder why they did let us know where they was going?" he questioned.
"Who knows. They are kind of weird that way," I said with a chuckle.
"I think we should go out to the farm again soon," he said.
"We go out there often which is one of my favorite things," I said.
"Well of course it is our farm after all," he said with a chuckle.
"I know. One or both of us goes out there every day or every other day. I love how happy the animals are," I said with a smile.
"Me too," he replied with a smile.
Here was to taking down part of the holiday decorations going into a new year.
