Y/N's POV
It was now December 25th which meant today was Christmas. It is crazy to think soon enough we will be going into 1979. And we will have one more year in the 1970s heading for the 1980s. I do not think it is going to be bad times but it is going to be interesting ones for sure.
"Mmm," I mumbled as I woke up.
"Good morning my love," Alan said as he looked at me.
"Good morning baby," I said.
"You ready for an amazing Christmas?" Alan asked.
"Any day with you is amazing but yes this is going to be an amazing day," I said with a bit of a smile.
"Merry Christmas baby," he said.
"Merry Christmas my love," I said.
He kissed me and I returned the kiss.
"What time did you tell everyone they have to be here?" he asked.
"I think we said around 2. Didn't we?" I asked.
"I think so," he replied.
"Sounds like a plan. I think it is only like 8 now so we can go into the kitchen and living room soon," I said as I yawned.
"Or we could go back to sleep," he said.
"There is so much to be done so that is kind of not going to be happening," I said with a chuckle.
"Mmm fine," he replied.
I kissed his cheek and got out of bed. I headed into the kitchen and got the turkey in the oven.
"Are you going to be making food now or are we going to be opening gifts?" he asked.
"I think it is up to you what we do," I said as I turned to look at him.
"I think make food and enjoy some coffee then we can work on opening up the gifts," he said.
"I think the good thing is we got everything prepped food wise for today," I said.
"I think it is good too. I am not too sure how you would be today if we did not do that," he said.
"I would be freaking out more than likely. Or I would be forgetting something here or there. You know with me there is no telling what I might be like or do," I said.
We made ourselves some nice breakfast and some coffee. We got seated to eat.
"I think this is how every single morning for us should go. You know not only the ones where we have a holiday," he said.
"I know but sometimes we are so busy it is kind of hard to have a nice and slow morning. I do enjoy our slow mornings though," I said.
"I guess it would make these kinds of mornings to be a lot less special," he said.
"Well yeah if it was something we did each day it would not be so special. But maybe that is why we do not do it that way?" I commented.
"Yeah," he replied.
We soon finished up our breakfast and went to open up gifts.
I am going to skip to after they finished opening their gifts.
"I think we should work on getting ready. Everything that needs to be in the oven is in the oven so we should be good to go," Alan said.
"Yeah," I said with a smile.
Alan kissed my cheek and we headed into the bedroom. We both got ready for our day.
"I wonder what kind of dessert the boys are going to be bringing over," I said.
"Didn't they say a pie of some sort? I think it would be like them to do that kind of thing," he said.
"Yeah, I think you are right," I said.
A bit of time would go by and we would finish up getting ready. Heading back into the kitchen we got everything situated into our dining room.
"I think it is nice how we have our cute little dining room," I said with a smile.
"Well we did put a lot of thought into making it so it does come in handy. I also think we did a good job on it," he said.
"We do a good job when it comes to a lot of different things," I said.
"And that is why we make such a good team," he replied.
We plated the table with cups, plates, silverware, and napkins.
"Something about this kind of thing always makes me happy. I am not even worried or stressed if it is all going to be perfect," I said.
"Maybe that is a good thing. You are not needing to be worried about everything. It all works out the way it is going to," Alan said with a smile.
"Well now we wait for the boys to show up and to pull the food out of the oven," I said.
"I think this might just be one of the best holidays we have had thus far in this house," he said.
"I know me too. It just feels so special this time," I said.
The front door flew open and me and Alan looked over.
"Guess who," Derek said as he walked in the door.
"I don't know who in the world it could be," Alan said with a chuckle.
"How do you not even know it is your own brother?" Derek asked.
"I know it is you silly," Alan said.
We walked into the living room.
"What are you doing here so early?" Alan asked.
"Oh I just wanted to come see how everything is. I know you guys worry about it and stuff," Derek said.
"Well mainly Y/N is the one who is worrying but she is doing good right now," Alan said.
"Well that is good to hear," Derek said.
"Yeah. I think it is nice to finally be calm about something," I said.
"Why do you worry so much anyways?" Derek asked as he looked at me.
"I don't know but it is kind of how I am," I said.
"Well I guess it could be a good way to be but then again it is not," Derek said.
"Well if you want to stick around you can," Alan said.
"I think I am going to. The boys will be around shortly," Derek said.
"Okay, sounds good. What time is it anyways?" I asked.
"It is like 12," Derek said.
"Oh yeah it is only 12," Alan said.
"Well then," Derek said.
To a holiday with the boys.
