Y/N's POV
Me and Alan had begun to talk about our wedding plans. We wanted a nice wedding but we did not want it to be anything big. Since I am always busy I do not even know who would be my maid of honor let alone bridesmaids. I am a loner in this world if I am being honest with you. When I say that I mean when it comes to having female friends However, Alan would be fine for his best man and best men. Now unless I had a male maid of honor that could work but it could be seen as weird. As it does sound kind of weird.
"I don't know how we are going to do my maid of honor or bridesmaids," I said.
"I don't know either. Your friends are mainly the guys and the ones you have at work are not many since your work is kind of solo now," Alan replied.
We were looking through a couple of magazines trying to get some inspiration.
"I know which is why it is kind of hard," I said.
"See I know I am going to have Derek as my best man since he is my brother and always has been there for me. You could have one of the boys be your maid of honor but it be a male version," he said.
"I know I was thinking that but I wonder how everyone would see it. I know it does sound kind of weird but I do not know how other people might see it," I said.
"I know if you pick one of the boys it would make them quite happy," he said.
"I know it would," I said.
"And it is not like they would be wearing a dress. Be dressed in a nice suit. We would not have to even say anything about it," he said.
"Good point. This is when I wish I did have more friends but again my life is kind of crazy in the way it works," I said with a chuckle.
"We will figure it out my love and I am sure nobody would think twice if one of the boys was it. And instead of saying maid of honor it could be man of honor," he said.
"That would be cute you know?" I commented.
"And one of them would be giving you away. I know your parents are around so you would be able to be given away by your dad and one of the guys kind of," he said.
"I like the way you think my love," I said with a smile.
"But now you have to pick one of them to see which one of them would do it. Or would be honored to do it," he said.
"I like how you made a pun," I said with a chuckle.
"I could not help myself. And plus you could spend some time with each one of them and see which one of them you connect more with," he said.
"True that could be a way doing it," I said.
"Cause I know you have only spent time with Derek one on one and he is kind of not in the options right now," he said with a chuckle.
"I know," I said.
"I could set up a couple of plans. I don't think the boys would find it weird if I am being honest with you and I will make sure the things you guys do both of you will like," he said.
"And you would not be weirded out by me spending time with each of them?" I asked.
"Of course not my love. I trust you and you know it," he said as he turned to look at me.
I looked back at him and smiled.
"I do trust you," he said.
I kissed him and smiled.
"That must mean you trust me too," he said with a chuckle.
"I trust you with all of me so of course I do," I said.
"And plus you have lived with them in this house. Even if they are off doing their own thing right now," he said with a chuckle.
"I know. Even though we live with them sometimes it is just so normal now," I said.
"I think this is going to be fun and figuring out which one of them is going to be one of the more interesting parts about it," he said.
"Yeah, because I only know how they act in a group when all of you guys are together," I said.
"Good point. I think out of all of them the most crazy is either Eric or Woody. Les is the more calm one who is kind of down to do anything you want to do," Alan said.
"I could see that. Eric seems to be the wild one," I said.
"Oh he for sure he is," he said.
"Well this is going to be interesting," I said.
We looked back at the magazines and continued to look through them.
"What kind of flowers do we want at the wedding?" he asked.
"I know roses die too quickly so maybe not roses," I said.
"Plus roses are kind of too basic for a centerpiece," he said.
"True. I think whatever we pick I want it to be bright," I said.
"What if we did like daises or peonies?" he asked.
"Ooo one of those would be so gorgeous," I said with a smile.
"Then we could do a combination of the two?" he asked.
"I think that could work," I said.
"And I think it is nice we have the place picked out," he said with a smile.
"Imagine riding off into the sunset on one of the horses. That would kind of be magical," I said.
"I think that would be cute actually. We should totally do that and make that the most dramatic part of the wedding," he said.
"Oh, I was completely kidding unless you would want to do that," I said.
"Why not? We deserve nice things," he said with a chuckle.
"I suppose we could then," I said.
"Well what else do we want to look at right now?" he asked.
"I think we have talked about a good amount of things for the planning part for right now," I said.
"We have some other things to look into but this is good for right now," he replied.
We closed the magazines and looked at each other.
"I love you so much darling," I said with a smile.
"I love you so much too baby," he replied as he pulled me into his arms.
To planning the perfect wedding with my love.
