Y/N's POV

It was a new year and it was now 1973. Me and Alan were laying down in his bedroom. We were not the kind of persons to party on the night before.

"I think it is nice you are not the kind of person who likes to party," Alan said.

"I know and same goes for you. I hate the idea of partying," I said.

"I think it is cute how you are just here with me," Alan said pulling me close to him.

It was around 2 in the morning and we were just laying in bed waiting for the noise to die down.

"I think it is interesting how so many people like to make bringing in a new year a whole thing. I do wonder why some people take it so far," I said.

"Because they are excited to be going into a whole new year," he said.

"What time do you think it is going to become quiet?" he asked.

"I think in the next few minutes since it has become quiet," I said.

Derek walked in the room.

"Hey guys, are you guys able to get any sleep?" Derek asked as he jumped on the bed.

"If we were asleep you would have woken us up completely," Alan said with a chuckle.

"True," I said.

"Oh well it is kind of loud and was wondering your thought on it," Derek said.

"We think it is going to become quiet here soon," Alan said.

"I will be heading back to bed now," Derek said.

"Why not stay and chit chat with us?" I asked.

"Because we should all try and get to sleep," Derek said.

"Well I am not too sure how possible it is right now," Alan said.

I laid my head on Alan's chest and closed my eyes.

"Well this is not the kind of thing I wanted to see. My eyes have been burned," Derek said as he joked.

"You never seen a couple cuddle before?" I asked.

"I have seen you guys cuddle many many times," Derek said.

"Well it is kind of the one thing we are always doing," I said.

"I think it is cute how you guys are always in the arms of one another," Derek said.

"What are you thinking about for tomorrow's plans? Well in the morning I guess," Alan said.

"I am thinking we make some food and just stay in. I know we all have work later in the day but until then we can just hang out," Derek said.

"It is kind of weird how we are in a whole new year. I am going to be trying to remember it is 1973 and it is not 1972 no more," I said.

"It is going to be nice to see all of the things we have to look for," Alan said.

"I think our music journey might be able to take off a little bit more. I know putting out some songs here and there is not getting us too far but it is worth a shot," Derek said.

"One of these days you guys are going to be bigger than you think," I said.

"I think the idea of putting out more music each year is going to be able to get us some place," Alan said.

"Maybe we need to just rethink and maybe rebrand one of these days again," Derek said.

"Maybe and maybe it could take us some place we never thought about before," Alan said.

"I think you guys have some amazing plans in the works," I said.

"And it is amazing we have you to be supporting us through it all. I think it is cool how far we have come you know," Derek said.

"Oh of course," I said.

"I think it is interesting how life does things for us to know more about each other," Alan said.

"Is it supposed to rain today or is it going to be clear?" Derek asked.

"I think it might be in the forecast for some rain but the one thing is we are always looking for rain in this time," Alan said.

I opened my eyes and looked back at Alan.

"What are you looking at him like that for?" Derek asked.

Alan kissed me and smiled. I laid my head back on his chest and smiled.

"I think that is why," Alan said with a chuckle.

"How do you always know what she wants from you?" Derek asked.

"The look in her eyes is kind of what tells me everything I need to know. We have been together for some time now so you kind of learn the signs from your girl," Alan said.

"I think that is cute on how you know how to take signs," Derek said.

"We both know how to take signs from one another," I said.

"It is kind of like training a dog I guess," Derek said.

"Not the same way but I guess I don't know," Alan said with a chuckle.

I closed my eyes again.

"Are you that tired?" Derek asked.

"I am not used to being awake at such an early time in the morning. What do you think?" I asked.

"Well none of us are normally awake at this time in the morning so I get it. Maybe I should leave and you two should get to sleep," Derek said.

"I think it might be quiet enough outside to try now," Alan said.

"Well then I am going to leave you two alone and hope we all can sleep," Derek said.

"I think we are going to be able to sleep now," I said.

"It is dark and everything else is going well," Alan said.

"Well good night you two I hope you two get some much needed sleep," Derek said getting off the bed.

Derek left and me and Alan cuddled up with one another.

"I love you so much and thank you for being with me going into another year," Alan said.

"I love you too and thank you for being with me going into another year as well," I said.

"I think it is crazy you are mine now," he said.

"It has been some time," I said with a chuckle.

He kissed my forehead and I kissed his chest.

"Do you like to kiss my chest?" he asked.

"It is the closest thing to me," I said.

"Mmm, yes my love," he replied with a smile.
