Y/N's POV
Today Alan was taking me fishing. I had never been out fishing before but I thought this was going to be a lot of fun. I had been to the lakes before but mainly to just take in the scenery.
"A day out by the lake is going to be nice," Alan said.
"We should take the horse not the car," I said as I looked at Alan.
"Ooo that would be a lot of fun. Do you think it would work out?" Alan asked.
"I think it would be fine and Butterscotch would be the one we should take. She is more trained not to run off than Maple," I said.
"Mmm, true I do know both of them are quite trained but I think you might be right," he said.
"Should we go down there now?" I asked.
"Yes, I think it would be good to go see the horseys and head out," Alan said with a smile.
"Where are you guys going?" Derek asked as he walked into the living room.
"We are going to be going down to the lake but we are going to go pick up the horse so we can take the horse out," Alan said.
"Oh, that sounds like fun," Derek said.
"You guys have fun," Les said.
"Well then should we get going?" I asked.
"Yes," Alan said as he picked us up some bottles of water.
"Oh you are right we could use water," I said with a chuckle.
"If not you two are going to be dehydrated. Are you going to bring us back fishes to eat for dinner?" Derek asked.
"Of course. And we might just make Fish and Chips for dinner," Alan said.
"You guys are going to be making my fav food," Derek said.
"We have got to get going," I said.
Alan and me left the house and went to go pick up Butterscotch. Soon we headed to the lake and we were getting looked at as we rode on over.
"I don't know why people keep looking at us like we are a bit crazy," Alan said with a chuckle.
"I think it is funny. Like has some of these people never seen two people riding a horse?" I asked.
"I don't know I doubt it," Alan said.
"I think it is funny how some people act like it is the most odd thing they have ever seen," I said with a chuckle.
Soon we were at the lake and getting off of the horse. We were renting fishing poles since they had the ability to do so at this place.
"I think it is nice that this is your first time going out fishing. I am kind of surprised you have never been out this way before," Alan said.
"Well I have seen this place before but fishing is something I would never have thought about," I said.
"I find it to be fun to fish and you are going to have fun with it. I do promise you this is going to be fun," he said.
"I believe you my love," I said with a smile.
We rented our fishing poles and got our bait and everything. They had boats you could get in to fish from and we got in one of those.
"Being on the boat makes the whole thing a lot of more fun than just sitting or standing by the water," Alan said.
"How many times have you been out fishing?" I asked.
"Oh, plenty of times. My dad used to bring me and Derek out here to fish," Alan said.
"Aww, I love that so much," I said.
"And I hope one day when we have kids I can do the same for our children," Alan said with a smile.
We began to fish and I thought about what he had said and I just smiled.
"What are you thinking about?" Alan asked as he looked at me.
"The kids we could have in the future," I said.
"The kids we are going to have in the future are going to be the best taken care of," Alan said.
"Oh of course. We are going to give them the best lives possible," I said.
"And so is that what you are thinking about?" he asked.
"Yes, it is what is currently going on in my mind. I think it is going to be such a beautiful thing," I said.
"I do wonder when we are going to have children of our own. I mean I know not for a bit of time but one day it is going to be nice," he said with a smile.
We fished for a bit of time and we would begin to catch some fish.
"I think Derek is going to be happy when it comes to us having caught so many. You are doing so good too," Alan said as he looked over at me.
"I do feel kind of bad taking these fish this way but," I said.
"The good thing is they have a little set up over there we can bring the fish to and they will take care of them before we bring them home," Alan said.
"If not it would be kind of hard for us to bring them back," I said.
"I think it is going to be interesting getting them back now thinking we came here on a horse. But, if we get them packaged up and all it should be fine," Alan said with a chuckle.
"Mm, true," I said.
"It is not like we can call Derek and be like can you come pick up the fish for us?" Alan commented with a chuckle.
"Good point but we are going to figure it out," I said.
"I think it is nice to know we can do these things in a more convenient way of coming down here on a horse though," Alan said.
"I don't know who thought it would be weird for us to ride horses over here," I said.
"Nobody but the people who looked at us on the way here," Alan said.
"Well then we should be able to head home now," I said.
We got our fish situated and a while had gone by we were here for. We turned in our poles and we got onto Butterscotch and headed back to the house.
