003. FOOTBALL GAMES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FUN

Chapter three

"Football games are supposed to be fun." 

The next morning, Athena woke up before the sunrise, and headed out on a run and when she made it back to her house, she closed the front door, not seeing Caroline or hearing the shower running as she furrowed her brows "Caroline? Are you driving me to school?" she asked, and when she didn't get a nasty reply back or hear anything amounting to her sister's normal reaction "Caroline?" she asked, walking down the hallway and to her sister's bedroom, she turned to the right, knocking on the door that was closed "come on, I could walk to school but I don't think mom would like that very much." she shared.

Waiting a few minutes, but the door was never opened nor did her sister yell for her, as she turned walking down the hallway to her room, she pulled her phone out of her pocket and called Matt, as the phone rang for a few minutes, Matt soon answered "hey, Athena." he told her "hey, um, I was just wondering if you could give me a ride to school? I don't know if I did something but Caroline's not talking to me." Athena shared "yeah, sure, I'll come pick you up in a few minutes." Matt told her "thanks." Athena told him, walking into her room and shutting the door behind her to get ready for the day.

Making it to school, Athena was then standing with Matt as he threw the football back and forth with one of his teammates, Tyler walked up to them, putting his arm around Athena's shoulder "I pay for your dinner and then you go and get yourself lost, huh?" he asked, as Athena scoffed "one you asked to pay for my dinner and two I was on a lot of meds and just walked myself all the way home and went to sleep." she shared "you had us worried." Matt told her, as he threw the football back to his teammate "I'm sorry, but I'm fine! Honest!" Athena voiced, raising her brows "and so is Elena, look at her and her new boyfriend." Tyler shared.

As Matt caught the ball, they all looked over at Elena and Stefan "now, what are they doing? Oh, they're walking." Tyler shared, as Matt threw the ball to his teammate he caught it "walking, walking." Tyler said, as the teammate threw it back to Matt "yep, right into the sunset." Tyler shared "you're a dick." Matt told him, throwing the ball "yeah, Tyler, knock it off!" Athena voiced, shoving Tyler's arm off of her "oh, come on! He's standing here like one of those little yard trolls." Tyler shared "gnomes." Athena and Matt corrected him, as the teammate threw the ball back to Matt.

Matt then threw it back to him, as it then got thrown back to him "oh, what am I supposed to do, Ty? She made her choice." he shared, throwing the ball back "let her know she made the wrong one." Tyler shared, as the ball got thrown back, Athena stepped forward catching it first and as she did, Tyler smirked "nice one, Athena, give it to me." he told her "no!" Athena voiced, and as Tyler lunged at her, Athena ran around him, as Matt chuckled "nice not childish at all." he shared, stepping away from them, he held his hands out for the ball and as he did, Athena stopped and as she did, she saw him far behind Tyler.

Tyler turned around looking at Matt but also seeing Stefan in the distance and he knew he could get what he wanted done even if it wasn't him throwing the ball as he turned around "bet you can't make the throw." he told her, as Athena furrowed her brows "I can!" she voiced, as Tyler raised his brows "I've seen the way Caroline throws in gym class, and since your her sister." he shared, railing Athena up, as she huffed "fine!" she voiced, gripping onto the ball, she backed up a few steps and threw it, but as she did, it threw over Matt's head, Matt and Tyler turned around, as it flew toward's the back of Stefan's head, Athena's jaw dropped.
