008. FRIENDSHIP ONLY CAUSES MORE TROUBLE THEN IT'S WORTH

Chapter eight

"Friendship only causes more trouble then it's worth."

Anyone who knew Vicki or at least saw her the night she disappeared had to be called in to the sheriffs station to speak, which included, Matt, Jermey, Elena, Stefan and Athena, who went last "so what I got hear is a story about how Vicki Donovan had a bad drug habit and left town. Do you maybe wanna help clear something's up for me that other's may not understand?" her mom asked, as Athena took a deep breath "that night we were looking for vampires, the one we came across in the graveyard happened to be Vicki and when me and Logan fired at her, she sped out of the way, causing the two of us to shoot each other instead and when we did, Vicki then fed on Logan." she shared.

"But she didn't feed on you?" her mom asked, as Athena shook her head "no. I tried to go after her but she sped off, and before you could show up, I just got out of there, wanting to take care of my wound. And I thought that would be the end of it." she shared "but it wasn't?" her mom asked her "no. Cause the night of the halloween party Vicki showed up and she shoved me to the floor and I tried to tell to get lost but she didn't like that so she grabbed me, dragged me outside, still wanted me to fight her. And then she threw me in the air, I landed on a pile of wood and then I stabbed her with one of the pieces of it." Athena shared.

"And nobody saw you?" her mom asked her "nope. We were out by the busses so I took her body and headed off, but as I did, someone was there." Athena shared "who?" her mom asked "Damon Salvatore. He seemed to know a bit about the council. About what I was. Said he was gonna help me get rid of the body so nobody would ask any questions." Athena shared, as her mom nodded "thank you." she told her, as Athena stood up, she turned walking out of her office, opening the door, she shut it behind her and moved past all the busy people in the precinct and headed outside.

And when she did, Stefan was standing there, as Athena walked down the steps, Stefan walked up to her "what'd you talk about?" he asked her "she knew something wasn't right about what you guys told her, so I couldn't lie, I had to tell her a version of the truth." Athena shared "and?" Stefan asked her, as Athena looked away from him "Athena?" Stefan asked her, as Athena turned back to him "I told her Damon helped me get rid of the body." she shared, as Stefan's eyes went wide "you what?" he asked, beginning to pace in front of her.

"I told her that he found me and knew about the council and what I was. I mean she wasn't gonna believe that I went all the way out into the woods on my own to bury a body, Stefan! He was kind of all I had." Athena shared, as Stefan stopped and turned to her, he knew she was right, but hearing her say, Damon is all she had, made his stomach flip knowing Damon didn't do anything but unless he got something out of it, as he stepped toward's her, putting his hands on the side of her face, which made Athena freeze up "you'll tell me if he comes to talk to you?" he asked her, as Athena nodded, Stefan took his hands off of her face, turning and walking off, Athena stood there watching him go.

The next morning, Athena had been asked to come see her mother, and as she was walking up the precinct steps, Damon was right next to her with a box in his hand, as the two looked at each other, Athena sped up her pace to get to the door first, but as she did, so did Damon, as he got the door first and held it open for her "ladies first." he told her, as Athena rolled her eyes, she stepped inside as Damon followed in after her, the two walked up to the front desk "Athena.." she said, while Damon "Damon.." where the two's last names intermingled together where the one thing Dawson who sat at the front desk got was "here for sheriff Forbes." as the two walked over each other.

Dawson then picked up the phone and pressed the number for Athena's mom office phone "I've got both your daughter and Damon Salvatore here for you." he shared "yeah? Send them both in." her mom said, as Dawson pulled the phone away from his ear, hanging up "you both can go." he shared, as Athena stepped around Damon going toward's her office, Damon followed her, the two made it to the office where the door was wide open "Athena, Mr Salvatore, come on in." her mom said, as the two stepped inside "oh, could you get the door for me?" her mom asked, as Athena sat down in her seat "sure." Damon said, as he turned around shutting the door.
