116. TALK LIKE GROWN UPS

Chapter one hundred and sixteen

"Talk like grown ups." 

Having picked Annabeth up from Alaric and Jo, Athena had gone home putting Annabeth in her crib, she fell right to sleep, where the next morning, Athena walked downstairs with Annabeth in her homes going to make her bottle to feed her breakfast but when she walked in a women was standing there making breakfast, as she turned and looked at her and then down at Annabeth, Athena held Annabeth closer to her "Damon!" she called out, and as she did, Damon sped downstairs and ran into the kitchen "what!" he voiced "who's the lady?" Athena asked "right, I, um, thought you'd be out flipping Stefan's humanity switch." Damon shared, furrowing his brows when he noticed the bite mark on her neck "he bit you?" he asked.

As Athena walked toward's the cupboard, grabbing the bottle and the baby formula "ooh, no humanity Stefan really doesn't like to share you, hmm? Did he not want you to leave?" Damon asked, as Athena ignored him pouring the baby powder in the bottle, Damon gasped "oh he did not." he said, walking up to her "because all while he's off the rails, he stills wants one thing." he shared, standing in front of her as Athena turned around to fill up the bottle with water "you." Damon told her, raising his brows.

"Let her feed the baby, Damon." the women at the stove said, as Athena looked to her with furrowed brows "right. Athena, meet Lily Salvatore aka mama Salvatore." Damon shared, smiling, Athena furrowed her brows "but Stefan said.." she said "I know, long story." Damon shared, taking the bottle and filling it up for her "back to my baby bro." he told her "he knows what the plan is. I picked her up from Alaric's last night and I just wanted to feed her before heading out. So if you can.." Athena shared, as Damon closed he bottle and took Annabeth from her "I'll watch her." he told her, as Athena turned around walking out of there.

Heading back to Whitmore campus, Athena looked at her text from Stefan that said Caroline was at the bar doing karaoke, she decided to walk up behind the bar knowing going from the front door would be obvious, as she stood in the back, she looked up at one of the windows, as she took the bag off of her and threw it down, she opened it and pulled out a grappling hook, stepping back she threw it up to the window, she then grabbed her bag and threw it over her shoulder, as she grabbed onto the grappling hook, she ran and jumped, climbing up the wall.

Making it up to the window, Athena pushed her feet off the wall and swung back as she moved forward again, she pushed off the wall once more swinging back further, she then swung forward, kicking her feet through the window, glass shattered everywhere, as she landed down on the floor, taking her bag off of of her, she took her gun out of it, and as she did, she got up and walked to the banister, jumping off of it, she landed down on the bar.

As Tyler, Matt, Caroline and Stefan looked to her, Caroline stepped toward's her "so? Are we gonna talk like grown ups?" she asked her "is that what we are?" Athena asked, getting down from the bar, she kept her gun aimed at her as Caroline walked toward's her "Athena shoot her!" Matt voiced "yeah, Athena shoot me." Caroline told her "don't make me." Athena told her, as Caroline lunged toward's her, Athena went to shoot her as Caroline grabbed the gun throwing it to the side, Athena then grabbed her by the hair and swung, slamming her into the wall, she then pulled her back and slammed her into it again.

Caroline then grabbed her by the neck and sped the two over to behind the bar, smashing them into the bottle's of liquor, Athena brought her hands up to grab her, as Caroline spun her around and slammed her down on the bar, holding her there by her neck "stay down. Stay down." she told her, as Athena was kicking her legs to break free, she reached behind her feeling one of the bottles she grabbed onto it and screamed as she smashed it over Caroline's head, making her let her go.

Matt and Tyler's eyes went wide, while Stefan hearing her scream, he felt his other emotions coming through, as he closed his eyes, turning his humanity switch back on, opening his eyes again, he saw Athena kicked Caroline in the face and as she stumbled back, she ran toward's her and grabbed her, throwing her into one of the tables "I just fixed that!" Caroline voiced, getting up off the floor,  Athena leaned down, pulling the stake out of her boot, she walked toward's her and as she did, for a second she saw what looked to be fear in Caroline's eyes.

Caroline bent down and picked up one of the broken pieces of wood, where as Athena sent to stab her with the stake she went to hit her in the face with the piece of wood but Athena ducked underneath it and lunged at Caroline, stabbing her in the shoulder with it "ah!" Caroline voiced, as Athena pulled it out, she then grabbed Caroline's arm and flipped her over, Caroline then swept her foot, knocking Athena to the ground, the stake fell out of her hand, as she winced, Caroline looked to the stake, Athena looked to her gun, as the two got up running in different directions, Athena grabbed the gun and turned shooting it off just as Caroline stood up, getting her right in the chest, as Caroline fell over, going unconscious. 

"Go! Get out of here!" Stefan voiced, speeding over to Athena, Tyler and Matt stepped toward's her, as Athena held her hand up "I'm okay." she told them, as Matt and Tyler turned running out of there, Stefan put his hands on her face, making her look to him "I should've listened to you." he told her "no, no, Stefan." Athena told him, dropping the gun and putting her hands on his face "we're okay. That's all that matters." she told him, pulling him down to her and kissing him, Stefan kissed her back, Athena then pulled away from him, she ran her hands through his hair "Stefan, you have to go home." she told him.

"What? No! I'm not leaving you!" Stefan voiced, shaking his head "yes. Your gonna go home. Your gonna see our daughter. Because I will not let you shame spiral on me, okay?" Athena asked him, kissing him again "this just like with Klaus wasn't on you. You had no choice, okay?" she asked him, running her hands through his hair, Stefan nodded "okay." Athena told him, kissing him one more time "I love you." she told him, standing up, she grabbed her gun and her stake, as she turned around, heading upstairs, she grabbed her bag and put the two things in it.

As she headed back downstairs, walking over to her sister "Athena.." Stefan told her, as Athena turned to him "I love you." Stefan told her, as Athena smiled at him "I'll see you tomorrow." she told him, turning around, she grabbed Caroline by the wrists and began dragging her out of there.
