151. I SAID I WAS GONNA KILL YOU, JUST DIDN'T SAY HOW

Chapter one hundred and fifty one

"I said I was gonna kill you, just didn't say how." 

The next morning, Damon was downstairs watching Stefan in his cell "update from the outside world." he told him "don't care." Stefan said "but I do. I care so much, it hurts. But it's a good kind of hurt. Because my lovely humanity is back on and I am seeing the world through rose colored glasses." Damon shared "oh, god, when you say things like that it really makes me regret not destroying mystic falls with hellfire. Maybe Seline will ring that bell again and put me out of my misery." Stefan shared "don't hold your breath, brother. The psycho sisters are MIA. It's almost as if all is right with the world." Damon shared.

"Yeah, except for the fact that we made a deal with the devil. You should be out dropping bodies and keeping our numbers up, Damon." Stefan shared "Stefan Salvatore dropping bodies is not part of a balance, humanity on lifestyle." Damon shared "sorry, I fell asleep." Stefan told him "that's okay. I forgive you. I'm all about redemption these days. I am gonna set things right. Starting with your humanity switch." Damon shared, as Stefan huffed "bring back the one who threatened to kill me." he shared.

"Ah, yes, unfortunately for you the goddess of war had other obligations today. Cause as she reminded me to tell you when she left, it's not all about you until you break out of this cell giving her no choice but to hunt you down and kill you. But I'm sure she wouldn't abide by you having something to eat so I'm gonna go make pancakes." Damon shared, turning and walking off.

Meanwhile, Athena along with Annabeth and Jace were at the high school for the ramp up to founders day, where Matt walked up to the podium "welcome, everybody. As a part of our ramp up to founders day our high school students have followed up on a local legend about a time capsule buried in 1790. With the help of our historical society they went digging for treasure. And this is what they found." he shared, as he turned walking over to a red blanket, he pulled it off, revealing a time capsule, as everyone applauded, Matt then walked back up to the podium "left behind by the first settlers it hasn't been open until now." he shared.

And soon it was open but compared to everything they've seen none of this seemed interesting, as Matt soon walked up to Athena, Annabeth and Jace "welcome back, sheriff." Athena told him "thanks. Not sure of how good of a welcome it is, seeing as I got called into a fight at a coffee shop this morning where these two guys tried to kill each other." Matt shared "male testosterone is strong. They find out you like their girl or that your trying to stop them from hitting their wife and they choose to use their fists instead of their words." Athena shared, as Matt chuckled "yeah don't I know it." he shared.

"Look, I need to apologize about last night. I should've been fighting Stefan not you. Hell that was my entire plan that day after we saw what happened at the grill." Athena shared "look when Stefan showed up I saw how scared you were, and you have every right to be after what he's done to you. So if me standing up for you means that I get compelled to ring a bell and have to fight the three of you stop me from doing so, where you knocking me out is the only reason were even standing here right now? Your the last person who needs to be apologizing, Athena. The person who should be is, Stefan. I mean do you ever think he's gonna feel bad about any of it?' Matt asked.

As Athena took a deep breath "if he had never been like this before I would maybe blame the sirens, the devil, the mind control. But I can't. Because it's him. He made this choice. He chose to leave me.." she shared, looking at Annabeth then back to Matt "leave us. And I told him we were done and that I wanted him to go and then he came back and he...he killed us. I'll never forget that. That's why he's locked in a basement and if he gets out, I told him I'd kill him and that's not gonna change." she shared, turning and walking off, Annabeth and Jace followed her.

Where as it continued, Annabeth was throwing popcorn at Jace as he caught it in his mouth, the two of them laughed, as Athena watched them, Damon walked up and sat next to her "Cade's in town and he set Stefan free." he shared "and?" Athena asked him "and he told me to kill you and your daughter and her boyfriend." Damon shared "I have to go." Athena told him, standing up "Athena.." Damon told her, as Athena turned to him "not now, Damon." she told him, walking up to Annabeth and Jace "we're leaving." she told them, continuing to walk off, Annabeth and Jace turned following after her.

Having gotten in the car, Athena had drove all the way from Virginia and all the way to upstate new york, seeing as Bonnie knew Athena's mind was a fortress, she trusted her with the location of where Elena was, which on her and Annabeth's travels while killing supernatural creatures, the two had stayed there a lot, as Athena hid her car out of sight, the three of them got out of it and began walking down the road and soon turned walking up a walkway to a house, Jace furrowed his brows "you've been talking about killing him for awhile now but I'm kind of missing the how part of it? Seeing as if we kill him, he just comes back to life." he shared.

As Athena smirked, she opened the front door, stepping inside, Annabeth and Jace followed her in, she shut the door behind them "I've had a lot of time to think and your right, if we kill him like we would any vampire he'll just come back to life but then I remembered an immortal named Silas." she shared, walking through the house, Annabeth and Jace followed behind her "and he was hard to kill at least until we gave him the cure for vamperism which turned him back into what he original was, a traveler. A mortal. Where a sword through the heart finished the job." Athena shared "so where's this cure now?" Annabeth asked.

As Athena turned walking into a room, she stood there, as Annabeth and Jace walked in standing next to her, they all were looking at a coffin "in there. Usually you have to consume the whole thing for it to work but I've done the math.." Athena shared, walking toward's the coffin "a syringe full of it should do the trick. Where the only problem is gonna be injecting it into his system." she shared, opening the coffin.

Where soon, Athena, Annabeth and Jace were all waiting in different spots, cause the moment Damon told her that Cade was the one that left Stefan go and he hadn't come for the three of them yet then going after Elena was gonna be the second best, and all they needed to do was wait for him to arrive.

And soon he came walking up the driveway and as he did, Enzo was still standing outside which wasn't part of the plan, as Jace went running toward's him, he lunged at him, as Stefan turned to him and flipped him over and onto the ground, Jace groaned, as Stefan chuckled "seriously?" he asked, as Annabeth walked out of the woods, she shot an arrow at him, getting him in the back, Stefan groaned, as he turned around another one was shot at him, as he caught it, Jace stood up, pulling the other one out of Stefan's back, Stefan groaned, as he turned looking at Jace, he went to stab him with the arrow.

As Enzo sped up behind him wrapping his arms around him "can't let you do that." he told him, as Stefan moved his head back, hitting Enzo in the face, Enzo stumbled back, standing next to Annabeth, Jace then swung punching Stefan in the face, Stefan chuckled "this is her plan?" he asked, wiping the blood off his face, Athena came running across the field and as she did, she jumped wrapping her legs around him, she took the two of them down to the ground and as she did, she then brought her hands up holding the syringe in it to inject it through his heart but Stefan brought his hands up forcing her back, and as he did, Enzo sped over helping her push it down, as Annabeth and Jace ran over, helping her as well.

Where they were too strong that Stefan couldn't fight them off anymore as they shoved the needle into his chest, Athena injected the cure into him, Stefan groaned as his eyes closed, all of them were breathing heavy, as Bonnie came running out of the house, she stopped, realizing what they had done.
