088. MY INSIDES ARE RED AND YOUR'S ARE TOO

Chapter eighty eight

"My insides are red and your's are too." 

That night, Katherine had left in Athena's body without anybody noticing and met up with Nadia at a hotel, where the two had planned the next day to meet Matt at town square, knowing out of everybody, he would be the one person to let in on their little secret, as she walked up to Matt in town square "hey, Matt." she told him, sitting down next to him "hey. I'm throwing a party tonight seeing as Tyler's back home officially." Matt shared, as Katherine hummed "so what'd you want to talk to me about?" Matt asked her "are you still drinking vervain?" Katherine asked him "no. I wear this bracelet incase anyone needs my blood, remember?" Matt asked.

As Katherine chuckled "right. The human blood bag." she said, as she reached over to his wrist, she went to take the bracelet off gently but instead ripped it off, as her eyes went wide, not used to her new strength "what are you doing? I need that." Matt told her "long story short..I'm Katherine not Athena." Katherine shared "Katherine's dead." Matt told her "not exactly. While you guys were all playing drinking games, toasting to what a horrible person I was. I was plotting a way to passenger myself into Athena's, goddess, Stefan marrying, virgin of a body." Katherine shared.

As Matt furrowed his brows "oh my god. That's why your hair is different.." he shared "what?" Katherine asked, as she scoffed, grabbing Matt's arm hard so he couldn't get away "ow! Your breaking my arm." Matt told her "and I need a crash course on all things Athena Forbes. I know she's strong, and I know she's engaged to Stefan and they're madly in love, and I figured who would know more about her then the compellable who's always watching from the sidelines." Katherine shared, as she let go of him and stood up.

"So the jacket? It's leather and for someone who usually wears fake leather, I know this one is real because it's heavier then it should be." she shared "I'm not doing this." Matt said as he stood up, Nadia sped up behind him and forced him back down "how about I compel him for you?" Nadia asked her "take the fun right out of it, won't you?" Katherine asked her, as Nadia stepped over the bench and looked down at Matt "play along with Katherine's secret, Matt." she shared, stepping away from him "would Athena wear this outfit to a party?" Katherine asked him.

As Matt looked her over "yes, because normally Stefan's the one dragging her to them and she doesn't drink." he shared "now, let's talk honestly about the purple ish blue thing that's happening to my hair. I'm supposed to be blonde." Katherine shared "so, you're dead and, what, hitching a ride in her brain?" Matt asked "for now." Nadia told him, as Matt looked to her "until I make it permanent." Nadia shared, as Matt looked back to Katherine with furrowed brows "permanent? How?" he asked "hello! The hair. She was blonde before I hitched a ride in her. What happened?" Katherine asked "I don't know. You'd have to ask the girls body that you spirit jumped!" Matt voiced, and when he did Katherine huffed as she crossed her arms.

Having made it back to the hotel, Katherine was looking out the window, as Nadia had walked in, shutting the door behind her "Mia said she needs your corpse." she shared "my corpse?" Katherine questioned, as Nadia put a bag down on the bed, as Katherine turned to her "could travelers be any creepier?" she asked "be nice." Nadia told her, putting handcuffs down on the bed "without Mia, you wouldn't be alive or inside Athena's body right now." Nadia shared.

"I know. I'd be dead in my corpse, a corpse that some traveler says that they need." Katherine shared, leaning on the chair, although as she did, she bent the top of it, as she quickly stepped away from it "she's been holding back her strength this entire time." she realized, looking at her arms "do you want to be in control of Athena's body or not?" Nadia asked her, as Katherine looked to her "look, I get it, ok? We have no idea when Athena's consciousness is gonna pop out." she shared, seeing Nadia attaching chains to the bed "now do you want to tell me what you're doing over there?" she asked her.
