103. WANTING NOTHING BUT TO SEE HIS WIFE

Chapter one hundred and three

"Wanting nothing but to see his wife." 

Opening her eyes, Athena saw the roof of Stefan's car, but when she looked down at her body, her hands were dried up like something had drained all of her blood out of her system, and as she did, she began to remember what happened, where ever since she smelled the blood Stefan was drinking she felt this hunger come over but then when she ate human food again and watched Stefan's hand get stabbed she felt this wave of nauseousness come over her where she threw up practically all the human food she ate and when she did, she felt weak and fainted where she remembered Enzo's hands on her neck and he snapped her neck.

But then a strange sound filled her ears, as she furrowed her brows, she sat up and looked up seeing Stefan's boss standing there with his back turned, and as she looked at him, that strange sound only got louder, as she turned climbing out of the back and into the front of the car, she opened the door and got out, walking toward's the man, she got right up to him as he turned to her, but he didn't get to ask anything, as Athena lunged at him, biting into his neck, she began drinking his blood, and as she did, her skin began to go back to normal, and that strange she heard began to go away.

Where as the man's body fell out of her arms and hit the floor, Athena's face went back to normal, where she not only realized that strange sound was the thing Stefan always told her about, how he could hear the sound of someone's blood pumping through their veins. And the other thing she was sure about was that their baby had been using her blood as it's food source even while she was passed out. As she leaned down grabbing the man's leg's, she began dragging him toward's his office and as she did, she then closed the door.

Meanwhile, Stefan was outside the boarders of mystic falls sitting on his motorcycle, as he took his helmet off, his phone vibrated as he took it out and answered it "hey. Any sign of our runaway girl?" he asked "nope. Caroline and I combed the border of mystic falls three times already. No sign of Sarah." Elena shared "she's not on any of the roads, which means she's probably in mystic falls." Stefan shared "this is bad, Stefan. Her compulsion went away as soon as she crossed the border. She knows that Caroline and I are vampires." Elena shared.

"Listen, I gotta go. I'll, uh, talk to you later." Stefan shared, hanging up, he put his phone down as he revved the engine of his motorcycle, Elena sped in front of him "where do you think you're going?" she asked "um, I'm going home." Stefan told her "Savannah's not your home Stefan. It's an escape. A hiding place. This is your home." Elena shared "no. This wasy my home, but I can no longer enter it's borders. Therefore, I have a new home." Stefan shared "so you're just gonna throw in the towel. And go back to your fake new life?" Elena asked.

"No. I'm gonna go back to check on my pregnant wife who Enzo decided to kill. And whether she is alive or dead, I'm gonna pack up our lives and take her with me and we'll start all over again preferably somewhere you all can't find us." Stefan shared "Caroline told me about Athena. How that was the soul reason you came here was to kill Enzo. Why did you lie to me? I would've helped you." Elena shared "because I didn't want anyone's help. I wanted to take care of him and go back to Athena as soon as possible." Stefan shared "and go back to pretending like your lives here never existed?" Elena asked.

"You'd be surprised how easy it is to forget the past, Elena." Stefan told her "but I'm not buying it. You lost your brother. And now your wife. There's no way that you're fine." Elena shared, as Stefan sighed, Elena held his keys up "you do not have worry about me. It's not like I haven't done this before. I have a system." Stefan shared "show me. Prove to me that your system works. If I believe that you two were actually happy, then I'll let you both go, but if I don't buy it which I probably won't, I will go there with Caroline and take Athena away from you to make sure you come home." Elena shared.
