035. TWO DIFFERENT IDEAS ON HOW TO DEAL WITH THINGS

Chapter thirty five

"Two different ideas on how to deal with things."

The next morning, Athena was sleeping, as Stefan was awake, he was watching her, realizing how using something on herself that was used to torture her back in the day, that when she woke up from it, it was like she was back there all over again, where he thought the blood lust was bad enough but what she had to go through to become what she was seemed to be even worse, where everything she had been through the past couple of days seemed to be a reminder of it, as he got up, he turned walking out of the room, and down the stairs "Elena!" he called out.

But didn't get a response, as he then saw Andie in the hallway "hey." he told her "hey." Andie told him "have you seen, Elena?" Stefan asked her "uhh, no." Andie told him, as Stefan walked past her "hi, sweetie. Oh, my coffee." Damon told her, as he walked up behind him "good morning." Andie told him, as the two kissed, Stefan turned to them "hey, where's Elena?" he asked "I don't know, Stefan. It's your girlfriend. Mine's right here." Damon shared, as Stefan pulled out his phone "oh, hey, how's the shoulder? Do I have time to get a bite. I'm so hungry." Damon told her.

"Oh, it's really messy. Can you just use a blood bag today? I'm already late for work." Andie shared, as Stefan looked at them with furrowed brows as he held the phone up to his ear "no!" Damon voiced "hey, it's me. Where are you? Call me." Stefan told Elena as it went to voice mail, he hung up, watching the two kiss, he scoffed "what are you doing? It's not a wind up toy." he shared, as Andie looked to him "it's really none of your business, is it, Stefan?" she asked him, as Damon turned to him "yeah, what she said. And speaking of girls, how's buffy?" he asked him "sleeping. Whatever she injected herself with last night, didn't exactly have the best effect on her." Stefan shared.

As Damon furrowed his brows "what does that mean?" he asked, as Stefan turned around walking down the hallway, he stopped seeing the basement door open, he went toward's it and began running down stairs, and down the hallway and to the room where Elijah was kept, where the door was wide open and there was no Elijah or dagger in sight, as Damon came up behind him "no, she didn't." he realized, as Stefan scoffed, turning and walking upstairs, knowing that Athena wasn't gonna be able to handle that Elijah was alive again after she killed him.

Soon Athena woke up, and as she did, she changed her clothes and walked downstairs "where are you? You okay?" she heard Stefan ask and then there was silence and she knew he was on the phone "where's Elijah?" he then asked, and when he did, Athena furrowed her brows, following the sound of his voice "where? I'm on my way." Stefan said, answering her question that Elijah was no longer daggered in the basement but missing and alive "listen to me. He can't be trusted. He'll use you to get to Klaus." Stefan shared, as Athena soon found him and Damon in the living room.

They were sitting across from each other, where Stefan's back was turned to her so he didn't see her, but Damon did "you can't do this alone." Stefan said "it's my decision, Stefan. Please respect it. And make sure that Damon and Athena don't do anything stupid. I'll be in touch." Elena shared on the other end, hanging up "did she just hang up on you?" Damon asked him "she did." Stefan told him "she's lost it. And isn't that just a great thing to wake up to Athena? Finding out Elijah's missing. Getting told not to do anything stupid." Damon shared.

Stefan turned around looking at her "he's not gonna hurt you, you know if anyone can get him to help us kill Klaus it's her." he shared "no, she know's that Bonnie's the way to kill Klaus, Stefan. He thinks she's dead. We have a chance with her." Stefan shared "she'll kill herself in the process." Stefan shared as he turned back to him "Elena's looking for another way." he told him "her way's gonna get her and Athena killed. So we need to find her and stop her." Damon shared, standing up, Stefan then stood up "no, you need to back off." he told him "what?" Damon asked him.
