Chapter fifty seven

"There's more then just luck on your side."

At the hospital Pastor Young and his men and his men had arrived as they ran into Dr Fell "Pastor Young. To what do we owe the honor? And don't tell me it's your blood pressure again." Dr Fell told him "honestly, Dr Fell, I wish it were." Pastor Young told her as he turned to his men "blood banks in the basement. One of you sweep the rooms." he told them, as his men walked off "what are you doing?" Dr Fell asked him "adding a few security measures. The blood in this place has a habit of flying off the shelves." Pastor Young shared "who gave you that authority?" Dr Fell asked him.

"The council. They've entrusted me to secure the town. And unlike some of our founding families..I don't have conflicting interests." Pastor Young shared "what's that supposed to mean?" Dr Fell asked him "Alaric Saltzman told us everything, Meredith. Probably time to start looking for a new job. But first..how about you tell me where Athena is?" Pastor Young asked her, and when he did, Meredith's eyes went wide "she's not supernatural. She's drowned last night. She's basically dead. She's gonna be of no help to you." she shared.

"The girl was born to fight the supernatural Meredith. She's not normal. She's never been normal. Now why we need her is officially no longer your business seeing as you have conflicting interests so either show me the body or I'll find it myself." Pastor Young shared, as Dr Fell took a deep breath, she turned around walking down the hallway "I left her in her room since last night, I've been waiting for her mom to show up and collect her but she never came.' she shared, turning and opening the door, Pastor Young followed her in, where Athena was lying on the table in a white hospital gown, and with her hands placed in front of her chest.

Pastor Young walked up to her and picked her up, and began carrying her out "her mother won't be okay with this." Dr Fell told him, following him out of the room as he walked down the hallway with her "I think her mother is more concerned with the vampire she has for a daughter and after I'm done here, will be worried about keeping her job." Pastor Young shared, as he walked down the hallway to the elevators.

And when he left the hospital Pastor Young and his men took care of her mother, Mrs Lockwood and even Caroline, where now they had gone to Elena's house, where as they opened the doors, they all pointed their guns at Stefan except for Pastor Young as Stefan stood there, they all surrounded him "Stefan!" Elena called out as she walked downstairs "Elena, don't move." Stefan told her, as Elena stopped on the steps she looked at them all having their guns out and then turned her attention to Pastor Young "why don't you come with me, Elena? Your friends already waiting in the car." he shared, as Elena furrowed her brows "my friend?" she asked.

As Pastor Young motioned out the window "come and I'll show you." he told her, as Elena walked down the steps and out the door, Pastor Young walked her over to his car, opening the passenger side door, Elena expected someone to be sitting inside of it but nobody was there, as she climbed in, Pastor Young shut the door as he walked around to the other side, Elena turned around and looked into the backseat and when she did, she saw Athena lying there, as her eyes went wide, realizing what he meant by friend, as she looked back at him "what'd you do to her?" she asked him.

"I didn't do anything to her. Not yet. I just picked her up from the hospital a while ago, can't exactly have the thing that's supposed to kill supernatural creatures under the watchful eye of someone who could stick vampire blood in her system, can I?" Pastor Young asked, as he turned on the ignition and began driving off, Elena turned around and looked at Athena.

Having gotten to Pastor Young's house, he had brought Athena into his daughter's room as she was lying on the bed, three deputies were in the room with her, watching over her as they passed back and forth, meanwhile Pastor Young had found out Elena was a vampire and locked her in one of the cell in the barn as she woke up "I thought I killed you." Rebekah said as she noticed her sit up "where am I?" Elena asked as she looked around her "they thought you were a vampire so they stuck you in here with us." Rebekah shared, from the cell across from her.
